Fire Chief Alex requests permission to send the following men to Purdue State Fire
School on the 11, 12, 13, and 14 days of September, 1956: Captains Gish, Hoffman, and
Carlson; Chiefs Alex, Doran, Regard, and Ledderer; Lieutenants Copeland and Filchak;
and Joseph Daly. Permission granted.

A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Thursday, September20,
at 10:30 A.M. All members of the Board were present.
At this special meeting of�the Board of Public Safety, Nicholas Horvath is hereby
ppointed,to succeed Ira Hunsberger to the position of Superintendent of the Electrical
epartment. This appointment to be effective September 16, 1956.
Ben Medow, Inc. requested permission to use large search lights at the curb in front

at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were
