Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol were examined and placed on
file for Thelma Louise Horvath, Martha Irene Wielgos, Dorothy Lillian Brady, Donna Belle
Marozsan, and Mary Arlene Blue.
Fire Chief Alex requests permission to send the following men to Purdue State Fire
School on the 119 12, 13, and 14 days of September, 1956: Captains Gish, Hoffman, and
Carlson; Chiefs Alex, Doran, Regard, and Ledderer; Lieutenants Copeland and Filchak;
and Joseph Daly. Permission granted.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the me ing was adjourned

A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Thursday, September20,
at 10:30 A.M. All members of the Board were present.
At this special meeting of!-�the Board of Public Safety, Nicholas Horvath is hereby
ppointed,to succeed Ira Hunsberger to the position of Superintendent of the Electrical
apartment. This appointment to be effective September 16, 1956.
Ben Medow, Inc. requested permission to use large search lights at the curb in front
)f their building at 222 North Lafayette Street on the 19, 20, and 21st of September, 1956.

There being no further business to come before the Board the Meeting was adjourned
at 10:45 A.M.

The Board of Public Safety held its regular meeting on Monday, September 24, 1956
at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved. Claims in the total amount of $2349.44 were approved and ordered
