Ira Hunsberger recommends that a 4000 lumen light be installed at the following locations: Ridegedale Road and Hilltop Drive; Southeast Drive and Crest Avenue; St. Joseph & Dean Streets; St. Joseph and Jennings Street; St. Joseph and Sherwood Avenue; and St. Joseph and Chippewa Avenue; Also, that light at the Sacred Heart School on Thomas Street be increased from 2500 lumen to 4000 lumen. The Board approves Mr. Hunsbergerts recom- mendation. The application for the of the South Bend Fire Department Effective as of May 16, 1956. retirement of Frank William Cosgrove was accepted and approved by the Board. The monthly report of the Wieghts & Measures Department for the month of April was submitted to the Board as well as the program of the Indiana Weights & Measures Convention which was held on April 19, 20, 21, 1956. Approved and placed on file. Applications for the Police'Department were approved for Fred - eridk Walton. Applications for the Fire Department were approved and placed on file for Richard Benddict Sobcza.k, Paul Peter Strominski, Leo Joseph Sobieralski, Raymond Eugene VanWynsberghe, Matt Bert Wesolowski, and Charles Steve Sandor. There being no further business to come bef o meeting was adjourned at 11 :15 A.M. (DST). Attest: rman the Board, the
