A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety Was held Monday, Ap-
il 9, 1956 at 10 :00 A.M. (DST). All members were present. Minutes of the
revious regular.meeting were read and approved. Claims in the total c-
ount of $2665.85 were`approved and ordered paid:

'OLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board and matters pertaining to
is Department were discussed.
The Clerk of the Board was ordered to advertise for 6 automobiles
or the Police according to the specifications in the directive submitted
o the Board by Chief Dutrieux.
A letter of resignation was submitted to the Board by - Officer Sal-
adore C. Lazarra. Motion was made by Frank J. Bruggner that resignation
e accepted and was unanimously approved by the Board. Effective as of
pril 15, 1956.
The request of the Fraternal Order of Police to have a Seven -up Machine
nstalled in the City Hall was granted by the Board.
Monthly report for March of the City Sealer was accepted by the Board.
The application of Steve A. Flowers for Service Pension was found accep-
able by the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension Fund. Approved and
fled.
The application of Mamie Frances Taylor for Auxiliary School Patrol
as examined and ordered filed.
Applications for the Fire Department were examined and ordered filed
or Joseph Frances DeBuysser, Harry Kale Braden, Edward Joseph Kapica, Ar-
hur Alex Lootens, and Marion V?uruble.
Applications for the Police Department were examined and ordered filed
or Arthur Alex Lootens, and Melvin Eugene Lesniewicz.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 10: A.M. (DST).
