A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday,
February 21, 1955, at 10 :00 A. M. I. A. Hurwich was absent. Minutes of the
previous meeting were read and approved. Salary claims, in the total
mount of $82,453.71, were approved. Claims of the following suppliers,
in the total amount of $3356.71, were approved and ordered paid:

FIRE DEPARTMENT:
The Fire Department application of Ladislaus J. Borkowski was examined
ordered filed.
Fire Department report of runs made into the outlying area of Portage
T wnship during the month of January was examined and ordered filed.
LICE DEPARTMENT:
The Board examined estimates submitted for the repair of car owned by
Roger Wendel Lea, 818 W. Donaldson Street, Mishawaka, damaged in accident
ilIvOlvingIblice Department car operated by Officer E. W. Pfaffenbach, and
in line with recommendation of Capta.tin M. J. Voelkel, accepted the estimate
of Romy Hammes Company.
The Police Department applications of Julius A. Halasz and Frank J.
Horvath, were examined and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 11 :30 A. M.
