Duck, with the recommendation that Lieut. Paul Nelson of the Inspection Division be advanced to the rank of captain, and that Fireman Robert Loughlin be promoted to the rank of lieutenant. The Board approved the Fire Chiefts recommendation and appointed both ;men for the ra.nkrecommended, to be effective Thursday, December 16, 1954• Fire Chief Duck also reported the resignation and pensioning of John J. Adam.ski. Richard C. Taylor was thereupon appointed in replacement. The Board next took note of the appointment of Mr. Ovid Holmes to represent Gov. George N. Craig, and the appointment of Mr. Tex IN. Borders, to -represent the Indiana State Federation of Labor, and appointed Mr. D. Cole Hay to represent the City, on the committee to determine the pre- va.iling wage scale for construction of Fire Station No. 15. The Fire Department applications of Sylvester G. Gerschoffer and el R. Popielski, were examined and ordered placed on file. LICE DEPARTIAENT: Chief of Police, R.J. Gillen, being present, brought to the Board's ttention his department's need for one new L-door sedan. Funds having een made available by transfer, for the purpose of supplying this equip - ent, the Board approved the requisition and directed the Clerk to proceed ith the required advertising. The Police Department application of Thos. L. Latimer, was examined and rdered placed on file.
