A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday,
November 29, 1954, at 10:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of
the previous meeting were -read and approved. Claims of the following
suppliers, in the total amount of $8420.37, were approved and ordered
paid:

FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Fire Chief, Richard J. Duck, being present, brought to the Boardts
attention his departmentts need for additional fire hose. Funds being
available, appropriated for such purpose, sufficient to purchase 250
feet, the Clerk was directed to proceed to order that amount.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief of Police, Richard J. Gillen, being present, recommended the
appointment of Michael Greszcyk, an employee of Goldblatt Brothers
Department Store,.as a special police officer in and for the City of
South Bend. Appointment was approved by the Board.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned at 11 :45 A. M.
