Glueckert of the 6th precinct, 4th District, to make use of former Fire Station No. 3, (now used as the municipal radio communications center) as a polling place for the coming election. Request was granted and the Clerk directed to so notify the Committeeman. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11 :15 A. M. Co. 136.85 abricated Steel Products Co. 3.05 Feaser Coal Co. 69.00 olfax Co. 5.60 American Auto Parts, Inc. 29.75 LECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: Superintendent Ira Hunsberger being present, the Board first gave onsideration to a letter addressed to Mr. Herbert Harrison, City lectrical Inspector, dated October 11, 1954, over the signature of H. L. rannan, Chairman of the Electrical Board. It was suggested and conceded hat a meeting should be called in this connection, with Messrs. Hunsberger, rannan, and Harrison present for the purpose of arriving at a definite greement in the matter involved. Mr. Brannants letter was ordered placed a file. The Board approved the recommendation of Supt. Hunsberger for the stallation of a 4000 lumen light at each of the following locations: Southwest corner of Hine and Walnut Streets Southwest corner of Southbrook Drive and Privet Lane Southeast corner of Southbrook Drive and Caroline Street Southwest corner of Southbrook Drive and Ridgedale Drive. The Board examined and referred to Supt. Hunsberger for investigation report, a petition calling for the installation of a street light in alley between George Avenue and Sample Street. POLICE DEPARTMENT: The Board examined and referred to Chief of Police, R. J. Gillen, a letter from Calvin R. Jones, dated October 18, 1954, and addressed to the Chairman of the Board of Public Safety. The Police Auxiliary School Patrol application of Patricia Jean Molinaro was examined and ordered placed on file. The time nowbeing 11 :00 oIclock,- it was so announced, and the 'Board proceeded to open bid received to supply the six 4 -door sedans, required by the F61ice Department, in accord with legal advertisement. The Bid was, as follows: SCHERMAN- SCHAUS- FREEMAN CO. LAFAYETTE AND SOUTH STREETS SOUTH BEND, INDIANA A Non - Collusion Affidavit and Certified Check for $633.00 accompanied the Bid. 6 - 1955 Studebaker Champion Custom 4 -Door Sedans equipped as per specifications in proposal............$1818.75 Less Discount ....... •••••••••.•••••••• Less Federal Tax Exemption.....•...... • -�;0 .Total for 6 Units ...... .....•...••...08673.00 Less trade -in allowance ............... 2350.00 $6323-60 The above bid was taken under' advisement.
