and ordered placed on file.
ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT:
Petition, dated June 7, 1954, calling for improved lighting, two street
light being requested for East Altgeld Street, between Clyde and Vernon
Streets, was rejected by the Board inasmuch as investigation disclosed
that tree trimming only is required to restore this area to a status of
ample lighting.
The recommendation of Supt. Ira Hunsberger for the installation of a
4000 lumen light at each of the following locations was approved by the
Board:

Northwest corner Longley Street and Goodland Avenue
Southeast corner MacArthur Avenue and Pyle Avenue
Northwest corner South 23rd Street and alley intersection
at 529 So. 23rd Street
Between 817 and 821 N. Notre Dame Avenue.
A petition calling for the installation of "adequate and necessary"
fighting on south Swygart Avenue, between Prairie Avenue and Test Ewing
venue, was examined and referred to Supt. Ira Hunsberger for investigation
d report.
A petition, dated August 17, 1954, calling for improved street lighting
at the intersection of Union and Congress Streets, was referred to Supt.
unsberger for investigation and report.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
as adjourned at 11:25 A. W
