The regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday,
ugust 16, 1954, at 10 :00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the
revious meeting were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers,

Mr. Hunsberger, Electrical Superintendent, appeared before the Board
nd submitted quotation from Charles Aulm, Contractor, in the amount of
725.00, for work and installation of overhead doors on old Hose House
o. 3 on.North Hill Street, as this was the only quotation received from
he several contractors solicited. The quotation submitted being
easonable for the installation of overhead doors, the Board directed
he Clerk to issue formal purchase order authorizing Mr. Aulm to proceed
ith the work.
A petition for a street light to be installed between the 1200 and
00 block of 29th Street was received by the Board and was referred to
. Ira Hunsberger for investigation and recommendation.
A petition for a street light to be installed near LaSalle Park
mprovement League was received by the Board and referred to Mr. Hunsberger
or investigation and report.
Chief Gillen appeared before the Board and submitted Police Applications
or Winston Augyle Vaz and Max Alvin Reeder, and after examination the
oard ordered.,,,these applications placed on file.
Application for Police Auxiliary School Patrol of Ida Mae Smith was
fined and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
a adjourned at 11:20 A. M.
