A regular meeting of the
Board
of Public Safety was held, Monday,
July 19, 1954, at 10:00 A. M.
All members were present. Minutes of the
previous meeting were read and
approved. Salary claims in the amount of
$80,853.58 were approved. Claims of

amount of $2617.22, were approved and

DEPARTMENT:
First appeared before the Board, Fire Chief Richard J. Duck and
rot at to the Board's attention the Fire Department's need for a half -ton
ick -up truck. Funds being available to meet the expenditure, the Board
auctioned the purchase and directed the Clerk to proceed with the re-
uired legal advertising for bids.
The Fire Department applications of Gene A. Minnick and Bernard
. Zmyslo were examined and referred to the office of the City Personnel
ireetor, also application for Gerald Zane Glaser.
LICE DEPARTMENT:
The Police Auxiliary School Patrol applications of Mertice E. Jones
Thelma L. Paskell were examined and referred to the office of the City
onnel Director.
TRICAL DEPARTMENT:
A petition, bearing date of July 2, 1954, calling for the installing
street lights on Floral Place, from Ford Street to Mayflower Road, was
mined and.referred to Superintendent Ira Hunsberger for investigation
report.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
