A regular meeting of
the Board of Public Safety was held Monday,
April 12, 1954, at 10 :00 A.

ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT:
The Board rescinded its action of April 5, 1954 in accepting the
bid of Englewood Electrical Supply Company for the supplying of wire
and cable, for the reason that said bid was not accompanied by a non -
collusion affidavit properly executed. The bid of The McCaffery Company
was then accepted by the Board and the Clerk was directed to issue the
required purchase order.
The recommendation of Superintendent Ira Hunsberger was approved
for the installation of a 4000 lumen light at the following three locations:
Southeast corner of the intersection of Ironwood Drive
and Country Club Lane South
Southeast corner of the intersection of Ironwood Drive
and Country Club Lane North
In rear of 613 E. Jefferson Boulevard on Pole No. J259 -744.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief of Police, Richard J. Gillen, appeared before the Board and
presented the papers for appointment of James S. King as a special police
officer, in the employ of Ernie's Protection Service, 601 E. Klinger Street.
The Board approved the appointment, which was signed and sealed forthwith.
Police Department applications of Lawrence E. Early and Oliver J.
Kushto were examined and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting.was adjourned at 11 :30 A. M.
