The application of D. Jean Eisele for the Police Auxiliary School
Patrol was examined and ordered placed on file.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 11 :30 A. M.

SPECIAL MEETING
December 22, 1953
A special meeting of the Board of`Public Safety was called for
1 :5 P. !,Fl. this date, for the purpose`of considering and acting upon
recommendations of Chief of Police, Richard J. Gillen, and Mayor John
A. Scott, for the promotion of Police Department personnel. Board
member I. A. Hurwich was absent.
The recommended promotions were as follows:
Richard A. Stickley to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman
to the rank of Lieutenant and to be assigned as Station Commander in
charge of the First Detail, Patrol Division.
Richard E. Bauer, Sr. to be promoted irom the rank of Patrolman
to the rank of Sergeant,to be assigned as Patrol Sergeant on the First
Detail, Patrol Division.
Edward M. Hanyzewski to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman
to the rank of Sergeant-and to continue his assignment in the Traffic
Division in charge of Auxiliary School Policewomen, School Safety Patro,,
and public relations in traffic.
17illiam D. Bush to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman to
the rank of Detective Sergeant and to be assigned to the Special Inves-
tigations Division under the command of Captain Edward G. Radecki.
Chris Koehler to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman to
the rank of Detective. Sergeant and to be assigned to the Juvenile Aid and
"rime Prevention Division under the command of Captain Elmer Sokol.
Edward Jr. Nawrocki to be promoted from the rank of Patrolman
to the rank of Detective Sergeant and assigned to night duty in the
Detective Division.
The Board approved the promotions, exactly as recommended, to
cecome effective January 1, 1954.
There being no other business coming before this meeting, the
neeting was adjourned at 2 :10 P.IV�.
