Duck for investigation by his Fire Inspector and report. ECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: The recommendation of Superintendent Ira Hunsberger for the installation of, 4000 lumen lights at the intersection of Whitcomb Avenue_ and Klinger Street, and on Whitcomb Avenue, between Jennings and Klinger, was approved by the Board. Superintendent Hunsberger's recommendation for-the installation of a 4000 lumen light on Frederickson Street, at the crest property line of 3029 Frederickson, was approved by the,Board. IRE DEPARTMENT: Fire Chief, Richard J. Duck, being present, asking permission of the Board to send Battalion Chief Anthony Miller, and Lieutenant Paul Flary to the annual Instructorts Conference at Indianapolis April 14, 15, and 16. Permission was granted. The Fire.Department Injuries Report for the month of March was xamined and ordered filed. Reports of two runs made by Engine Company No. 21 in outlying territory (Portage Township) on April 2nd and April 3rd were received and ordered filed. POLICE DEPARTIVENT: Police Department application of Paul L. Locsi was examined by the Board. It was noted that Mr. Locsi is unqualified at the present time, due to overweight. Chief Gillen, being present, stated that in his opinion, applicantts weight can be reduced sufficiently, within a short period of time, to enable him to qualify. Application was ordered placed on file Chief Gillen next presented the resignation of a recent appointee, E. Marshall. The Board accepted the resignation.
