Staff has taken many potential users through the site and instead of tearing down the building and clearing the site, staff has requested a proposal to determine a value to clean the site and the interior of the building, strip the roof and siding from the building, and re-side and re-roof the building. The value determined in this report would be compared to the demolition value of the site that will be received on September 13th when the Board of Public Works opens demolition proposal for the site. Once both values are received, staff can make a better educated decision about what to do with the site. The proposal is in the amount of $2,000.00 and staff requests approval of this proposal. We have reviewed the documentation and files you provided, and offer the following proposal: SCOPE OF SERVICES (REFURBISHMENT OF SITE COST SUMMARY) Refurbishment cost summary shall include the following: • Calculate costs and quantities associated with the removal and replacement of chain link fence, asphalt pavement and concrete surfaces, curb and sidewalk, and trash removal. The estimated fee for determining site refurbishment costs will be $1,000.00. The estimated fee for determining building refurbishment costs will be $1,000.00. Refurbishment of Site Refurbishment Cost $1,000.00 Refurbishment of Building Refurbishment Cost 1 000.00 Total Estimated Cost of Services $2,000.00 Our services will be billed monthly unless the amounts in any month are not significant. Our monthly statements will include charges for some expenses that we may incur on your behalf.
