AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
Il~TDIANA APPROPRIATING $8,055 FROM THE GENERAL FUND (FUND 101) FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONTINUING THE MISHAWAKA AVENUE FACADE MATCHING
GRANT PROGRAM
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to allow the City to continue the Facade matching grant program on Mishawaka
Avenue, funds shall be allocated as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $8,055 is hereby appropriated within Fund 101 for facade matching
grant costs.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

Dear Council Member:
The attached bill for your consideration and approval will appropriate $8,055.00 from the General
Fund to continue the facade matching grant program for Mishawaka Avenue. These funds were
originally under contract to the Corporation for Entrepreneurial Development. It was determined that
the CED no longer had staffing sufficient to administer the program, so the funds have been returned to
the City. The City wishes to continue the program.
