Main Street surface parking lot (located on the corner of Main and Jefferson Streets) is in need of repair. In fact, the License Auditor of the City of South Bend has inspected the lot and determined there are trip hazards throughout the parking lot with holes and loose asphalt material. The License Auditor has approved a Public Parking Facility licenses contingent upon the repairs. AMPCO, the Management Company for the Parking Lots and City Garages has obtained three proposals for the repair work. The highest quote is $13,450.00 and the lowest is $9,165.00. Staff is asking approval of the lowest quote of $9,165.00 submitted by Arnt Asphalt Inc. Repair work will commence immediately upon your approval. Staff recommends approval in the amount of 59,165.00 not to exceed $10,000.00 for the repair of 225 S. Main Street Surface Parking Lot.
