The purpose of these funds is to assist the Commission with special projects and programs developed by the South Bend Human Rights Commission. This Ordinance authorizes the South Bend Human Rights Commission to use the EEOC funds for their designated purpose of purchasing a new photocopier. The new copier will allow the Commission to continue an educational program to increase the knowledge of the City's minority communities concerning their rights, and to increase overall awareness and respect for diversity within entire City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: Section I. The sum of $10,000.00 is ordered appropriated from and set aside within Human Rights Federal Fund #258 for the purpose of purchasing a new photocopier machine, which can also be used as a network printer, scanner and fax machine. Section II.
