Pfeifer ~ today's edition of the South Bend Tribune, there is an article entitled "King Second District youth Camp Still Needs Sponsors -Organizer: Leadership Lessons To Deter Roland Kelly Violence". I am attaching a copy of it for your review. Third District In keeping with the Council's recent plunge into several city neighborhoods, and Ann Puzzello the Council's goal to make our city safer, I am introducing the attached ordinance. Fourth District This ordinance would transfer $2,400 from the Council's Personnel Service Fund David Varner # 10 and transfer it to the Council's Promotional Fund # 33. It would then Fifth District appropriate this $2,400, so that the monies may be used to sponsor ten (10) youth positions at $30 each for an 8-week summer camp. The summer camp will be Ervin Kuspa held at the Martin Luther King Center (M-F) from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In this Sixth District way the Council would be partnering with Ark Angels, which is the nonprofit Al "Buddy' Kirsits group sponsoring the Youth Camp. The camp will conduct lessons on Stephen At Large Covey's habits for "Highly Effective People" as a way to deal with various issues which lead youth to violence. Timothy A. Rouse At Large I recommend that this Bill be sent to the Council's Health and Public Safety Committee, and be set for public hearing at the Common Council's meeting to be Karen L.
