We have appreciated being able to be of service to you in the past and hope that we can assist you with this project. We have reviewed the documentation and files you provided to us and offer the following proposal. SCOPE OF SERVICES (BOUNDARY SURVEY SERVICES) • All research, calculations, drafting and field surveys to complete a Certificate of Survey performed in accordance with Title 865, Article 1, Chapter 12 of the Indiana Administrative Code. • Placing monumentation as required at corners of the property. • Locate visible existing improvements and show relationship with boundary lines of the subject tract. The performance of the above noted items may require the following research at County offices: • Acquiring subdivision plats, previously recorded surveys, and right-of-way information. • Locating and reviewing adjoining property owners' deeds to identify deeded gaps or overlaps or obvious discrepancies with adjoining deeded descriptions. L.ANOSCAPE ARCHITECTURE COSB -David Relos June 9, 2010 Page 2 of 3 SCOPE OF SERVICES (TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY SERVICES) Topographic survey shall include the following: Data collection of existing buildings and topographic features within the boundaries of the parcel. • No contours or surface model will be prepared at this time. Once the demolition of the site has been performed a full asbuilt survey can be performed and fees may be negotiated at that time. Limitations: • Invert measurements made on storm and sanitary structures will be made from above ground only, utilizing methods that do not require confined space entry apparatus, such as ventilation and extraction equipment. • Utility lines will be shown based upon field evidence located during our field survey and per plans and marking provided by the owner, utility companies, or their representatives. We cannot certify that all utilities required are available. The estimated fee for performing the boundary and topographic survey will be $3,183.00. Be assured that all of the above will be delivered in a continuously timely manner with the timetable of the project held foremost. As you know, Wightman Petrie guarantees the best possible product provided in the most efficient manner and accordingly will strive to reduce costs wherever possible. Our services will be billed monthly unless the amounts in any month are not significant. Our monthly statements will include charges for some expenses that we may incur on your behalf. Should you have any questions or comments concerning our services or charges during the course of the work, please bring them to our attention immediately so any problem can be resolved quickly. Lafayette Blvd Date: June 18, 2010 The attached Professional Services Agreement is a proposal from Wightman Petrie for surveying services at the former Airgas property, located at 912 S. Lafayette Blvd. This property contains six parcels, and is on the east side of Lafayette, just south of Sample. The building on this property sits at its far northern end, and is very near the adjacent building to the north. Because of the proximity of the neighboring building, staff feels it is necessary to find the exact boundaries of the property, to assist in the demolition specifications currently being drafted. The scope of work for this agreement includes all necessary work to complete a boundary survey; placing monumentation at property corners if needed; show the relationship of existing buildings to the property lines; and incorporate topographic features into this survey. Total project services cost is $3,183. Staff requests approval of this Professional Services Agreement, to allow the boundary and topographic surveying of this property.
