Bids were submitted opened and read on the following improvements.

Hearing had on assessment rolls and !final estimates for the
following improvements,
Pipe sewer on Grace Street from Olive Street to Kaley Street
under Improvement Resolution No, 1283 filed May 19th,9 1925,
Pipe sewer on Napier Street from Meade Street to alley east of
Kalay Street under Improvement Resolution No, 1444 Fild May 2091925.
• Grade, curb and walk on Swygert iSvenue from Indiana, Avenue to
N. J. I & I.R. R. under Improvement Resolution•No. 1427, Filed May 2691925,
In the above matter .no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed,.- The Board therefore find that the property assessed in .said
Pills filed May 19th, 20 and 26th., 1925 are bensfitted in the amount ss shown on
said roll* and the Board further, find, that the assessment rolls filed May 20,19thpand
26th.9 1925 and the final estimate allowed May 199Y20th.9 and 26th., 1925 shodd be and
the- same are hereby in all things, ratified, onfirmed and approved.

remonstrance was filed. After hearing, the Board decidfd that. the benefits to property
liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the

Comes now, the New York Central RailRoad Company anal
eespeotfully,_.submit's' to- the- Honorable Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend
that the notice "quired by law to be served upon the New York Ceijtial Ra4ilRohd Company
requiring it to file with the Board of Public Works complete plans and specifications
for the work to be done by it, was served upon the New. York Central Railroad Company on
the llth. day of February, 1925. Since said mime the New. York Central RailRoad Company
has been preparing plans and speolfieations sahh as is required by law, bttt it is not
able to and will not be able to cause the same to be prepared so they can be filed with
your Honorable Board on or before June llth. 1925. -
That in the opinion of the Petitiner Sixty (60) days longer
time will be required. This petitioner believes it can prepare and file such plans
and specifications on or about August llth,, 1925.
Wherefore, your petitioner prays that the time in k1kich to
file complete plans and specifications for the work to be dne by theNew York Central
Railroad Company in the matter of track elevation under Modified.�.Resolution No 4
and the proceedings indicent thereto be exan6d extended from June llth., 1925 to August
11th . 1925.
