This grant is made on the expressed condition that said track across
I,engley Avenue shall be co.nstruct*d so as to eonfdrm tothe established grade
of said street; that the sadd Clifford M. Lontz, dci#g business as° liontz Bros.
shall plank said street between the 'rails of said track adn for two (2) feet.mn
the outside of the rails with plank'not less than Two (2) inches in thickness*
which 'shall at -all times be kept securely in place and to the grade of said
street, and shall in the maintenance of said track in all things comply with the
lags. of the Skate of Indiana and the Ordinances of the City of Suth- Bend:
IN TNESS WHEREOF, the Department of Public Works has hereunto
caused this agrement to be executed by its duly authorized officers as on the
27th. day of May 1925, and the said Clifford M. Lontz,"doing business as lontz
Bros. has hereuntosubcrdbed his name.

Engineer recommended that the money held up on Are+old Street sewer and

Petition filed and resolution ordered for pavement on alley between
St. Louis Blvd. and St, Peter Street from E. Jefferson Blvd. to.Earst Washington Street.
Estimated casts filed as follows;- Pavement on alley lying between
Lots 11 and 12 in- Dunbar's Sub. of B. 0, L. 31 and 32 from Colfax Avenue to the
alley south" of Colfax Avenue also the alley between lots 3 and the east 46.17 feet of lot

Concernigg the improvement of the .roadway of Altgeldt Avenue from
miami'Street to marine Street with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bituhltie, concrete or
brick, in pursuance to Resolution No. 1460 this Board finds that no pettlion-had
been filed with said Board by a majority in number of the freeholders residing on said
street to.be Improved, requesting that it be improved with a different kinf o f pavement
than the kind heretofore adopted'by the Board in its preliminary order= and the City
Engineer reports that'the Albert Construction Company is the lowest,and best bidder
for the kind of pavement heretofore adopted by the Boards and the Board find that the
Albert Construction CO. is the lowest and best bidder and hereby lets the contract, for
said improvement to them and orders that said improvement, be m:de with Sheet asphalt,
using Mexican asphalt, anal o11 proceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby
confirmed and &*tified.
Contract. with The Albert Constr. Company as entractor for pavement
on Talbot Avenue from Howard Street to South Bend Avenue, as provided in improvement
Resolution No. 1456 adopted March 25th.9 1925 a[dsphsd signed and construction bond
attached -thereto in the sum of $29847.00 with the Metropolitan Casualty Company as
sureties, approved. Contract and bond ordered filed.
Contract with Risht-Rley Construction Company as contractor for
pavement on South Michigan Street from a point 28Q feet song of -the south line of
Bronson Street to the north curb line of Broadway, as pro*iddd in improvement Resolution
No. 1461 adapted March 18th., 1925 signed and construction bond in the sum of$299845,00
attached thereto with the Southern Surety Company of Polk Csunttts, Iowa as su ties,
sureties, approved. Contract and bond ordered filed.
Order of May 20%h. to the Indiana Bell Tel. Ce, to remove, poles from
Sarin Street is hereby rescinded.
Claims amounting to $8,208,00 approved.
Dedication of Plat of Ridggdale to the City of South Bend filed
