Wm, Qualls Supt of Poles and Hires reports as follows on request
of Indiana Bell Telephne Company to do the following fork in alley between
Division Street and Monroe Streets west bf Scott Street set, eight (8) poles and.
Four (4) anchors also place two duct tile across Chapin Street.
There are no existing pole lines in the section covered in att soled
petition, one, of -the Electric company Ad one.of the Telephone Company, Both
pole lines are in a bad state of preservation. That portion of these poles lines
.that extend east of Chapila Street lie within the boundaries of the UndergroundDistrict, the western boundary being along Chppin Street as far south as Dunn
Strse t;
In aceordanc6 with City Ordinance creating the Underground District
I would recommend that both these pole lines be removed and the service placed
underground from Scott Street to the west, side of Chapin Street and from Chap4n'
Street to Pine Street the serial construction be such that moth companies will
use the same poles, thus reducing the number of poles in this alley. Report,
approved..'
