586 ry 27th., 1925. Board met; in regular session at 9:00.A.M. All members present. vim. Qualls Supt. of Poles and Wires took up matter of Indiana & Michigan Electric Company not taking out permits for setting ' of poles. Complaint filed with him Jan. 26th.9 Clerk instructed to notify Indiana & Michigan Elea. Co. to obtain a permit before setting poles in the City. Excavation bond of Anthony Kujawski as principal and Republic Casualty Company as 'surety approved, and ordered filet. Report from Wm. Qualls Supt. of Poles and Wires in re complaint of telephone company pole in way of the entrance to a garage at the first alley intersection north of F9rd Street between Kosciuszko and Pulaski Streets. Recommend pole moved -nearer to building about two feet. Report and recommend approved. J. W. Fites Street Commissioner reported that,barriaodes had been provided by the Street Department at south end of 23rd. Street and St. Joseph Street as per order of January January 201,h., 1925. Bids were received for -the printing of 7500 copies of notices of condemnation. Bids submitted by Peerless Press $26,50 R. E. Johnson $36.50 McClave Prtg. Co. 834.00 Baily Printing Co. 137.25 Aibberd Printing Co. $40.00 Andrus Printing Co. $34.50 Awarded to Peerless Press. The City Engineer submitted the list of property owners in the matter of the appropriation of certain property under Condemnation Resolution No. 83 for the Opening of i�street from Colfax Avenue to Lincoln way west and from. Marion Street to Navarre Street( known as WILLIAM STREET) as per :resolution ,recorded. on paa,ggro�-_ __ _ 73 and 74 of this 12th. Record. Which list includes the names of the owners and hdlders of property and of interest therein sought to be taken or beneficially or injuriously affected$ and the description of the several pieces of property which is affected by the said proceedings. Thereupon the Bard proeeeded,to award the damages sustained, and to assess the benefits accruing to each piece of property upon said list. It was thereupon,_upon meti.on duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted, resolved, that said list, together with the amounts of benefits and damages and net benefits and net damages therein set forth as to the several parcels of land be adopted and that the respective amount of benefits contained in said list be and are hereby assessed against the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said lists, and that the respective amounts of damages contained in the said list be and are hereby awarded -to the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, and that the net benefits or net damages, as the case may be as to the respective tracks of land, contained, in said list , are hereby awarded 6.9 assessed, ss.the case may be as to the said several tracts of land. The Board hereby further sets off the benefits and damages each against the other where both benefits and damages are assessed, against the same piece of property, tract of land or interest, . and hereby fixes ssgid respective net benefits as the amount that shall be paid by the respective owners as benefits, and further hereby fixes the respective net damages as to the several tracts as the amountthat shall be paid to the ©wners.of the respective tracts as damages. Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted the? day of 1925 at 7:15 P.M. was fixed as the clay on which' this Boadd will receive 4' ear remonstrances from persons with regard tothe amount of the respective awards or assessments, and the Clerk of this Board was instructed to prepare and cause to be duly -and legally given, notices to the owners of each parcel of property, shoving t1le amount of the assessment or award, with a description of the property affected, and the date of said hearing. Claims as eviddneed by Vouchers numbered from 128 to 136 inclusive were allowed., amounting to $2087.b9 Pre icent. Clerk of the Board.
