A. Davis Building Commissioner with Juluis Christman Contractor appeared and asked information regarding the changing of their plans In the building of a new wall on the south side of their building at the corner of Colfax Avenue and Main Street , instead of -repairing the old wall. Mr. Davis Building Commissioner upon questioning made the statement that the entire building was to be taken as one unit and the single store roan on the corner and under the estimate of the repairs are less than 50por cent of the value of the BvilcUng ,is still within the jurisdiction of the Building Code. The Building Commissioner was informed that if the repairs were allowed under the Building Code the Board had no jurisdiction . If the repairs exceed the amount permitted by the Building Code any action by the Board would nullify the Code and any action which the Board would direct to take.
