Clerk instructed to notify the various public utilities having under
ground; oonduit on William Street to re -arrange oonduit so City can complete
construction of storm water inlets on William Street as the present conduits inter-
fere with the construction work, y
Attorney Harry Taylor appeared before the Board and presented petitl'
petition requesting abatement of fire nuisance of'old barn on East Calvert Street
Same read and referred to the Building Commissioner. i
Indiana & Michigan Ele.. Company notified to furnish connections
for semaphores at Lafayette and Washington, also connections at Wayne Street and
Michigan for 'traffic signals on Michigan Street and one boulevard light to be dis-
continued at northwest corner.
Atty. Woodson Carlisle presented Petition for Vacation of alley
which runs east and west between lots 1 and 2 in Wadham's First Addition for the
South Bend Motor Bus Company. Same approved and resolution ordered. -
Petition filed icy Range Realty Compah-i etcatl for the Vacation of
alley abutting on Olive Street on the east and Sample Street on the west lying
between lots numbered 581 and on the E and 590 on the west in Su:mnitt's Third Add.

Wm. E. Qualls Inspector reports that on petition for Blvdlights on
Michigan" Street' frbin La!'Salle Avenue to Leeper Park. Same filed and until street
is widened and improved wi uh sewer.,
A 400 C. P. light beeommended- placed in° Ernsperger Street, and Donald
Street, Same filed Mishawaka to provided lights.
Indiana & Michigan. E,ea. Co, to move pole at 517 E. South Street to
the property line about 18 inches., °
Indiana & Michigan Elea. Co. to move pole 10 feet to the north at
2210 and 2212 So. Miami Street and -the Indiana Bell Tel. Company to terminate their
cable on this pole and entirely remove the existing telephone pole.
Indiana & Michigan Elea. Co. ordered to place,ine 100 C. P: Light
with bracket construction on east side of Miami Street arrange to shine clown center
of Dubail Avenue.

City Engineer submitted list or roll of property owners in the mstta
of the appropriation of certain property under Condemnation Resolution No,

for the appropriation of a strip of land for (4) feet in width, two (2) feet on eat
each side known as Easement for Trunk sewer. Which list includes the names of the
owners and holders of property and its interests therein sought to be taken or bane
ficially or injuriously affected, and the description of the several pieces of
property which is affected by the said appropriation proceedings.

Thereupon the Board proceeded to award the damages sustained and to assess
the benefits accruing to each piece of property upon said list.
It was thereupon, upon motion duly made and wecanded and unanimously
adopted; resolved that said List, together with the amounts of berieffts and damages and
net benefits and net damages therein set forth as to the several parcels of land be
adopted and that the respective amount of benefits contained in said list be and are hereby
assessed against the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, ,and
that the respective amoun'Us of damages container in the said list be and are herebjJJ
awrded to the several tracts of land as specifically get forth in said list, and that
net benefits or net damages, as the case maybe as to the respective tracts of land,
contained in said li-s)t are hereby awarded or assessed, as the case may be as to the said
several tracts of land.
The Board hereby further sets off the benefits and damages' each against
the other where both benefits and damages are assessed, against the same piece of property,
tract of land or interests, and hereby fixes the said respective net benefits as to the
amount that shall be paid by the respective owners as benefits, and further hereby fixes
the respective net damages as to the several tracts as the amount that shall be paid
to the owners of the respectivle, tracts as damages.
Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted
the 30th. day of July 1924 at 7:15-�V.M. was fixed as the day on which this Board will
receive or hear Femonstrances from persons with regard to the amount of their respective
awards or assessments, and the Clerk of this Board was instructed to prepare and cause to b
duly and legally given,, notices to the owners of each parcels of property, showing the
amount of the assessments or awards, with a description of the property affected, and the
date of said hearing. o
Contract with Paul Lieder fnr grade, curb and walk on California
Avenue from College Street to the alley west of College Street as provided in Reso,ution
No. 1354 adopted April 16th., 1924 -signed and construction bond attached thereto in the
sum -of Ninety five (395.00) Dollars with the Inland Bonding Compimny as sureties,
approved, Contract and Mond ordered filed.
Contract with Paul Lieder for grade, curb and valk on California
Avenue from College Street to the alley west of Collage Street as provided in Improvement
Resolution No. 1354 adopted April 16th., 1924 signed and construction bond attached -
thereto in the sum of $95.00 with the Inland Bonding Company as sureties, approved.
Contract and bond ordered filed.
Contract with C. E. Reesh for pipe sewer on Kessler Blvd, from Rose
Street, to South line or.' Woodiawn Addition as provided in Improvement Resolution No. 1390
adopted May 13th., 1924 signed and construction bond in the sum of $1,679.00
with Aetna Casualty & Surety Co. of Hartford, Conn as sureties approved. Contract and
bond ordered filed.

from General Abbestos & Supply Company in reference to Police and Fire Alarm Station
Roof. Same read and placed on file, ( See files.)
Thirty day notice ordered sent to Psaooff Lbr. Company at 416 W.
Wenger Street to construct now walk, also notice sent to Airs. James Belson and Paul
Kuehn.
