Board ordered that Various Public Utilities having conduit -at inter-
section of William Street and alley south of Colfax Avenue to remove same which is
in the way of sewer now being. constructid on. William .Street,.

Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Caroline Street from. Lincoln
Way to Calvert Street in pursuance 'to Resolution No. 1367 the petition of the .freeholders
residing on said stre,et.is considered, and the report.of the City Engineer is received and
all evidence is heard, and_ the Board of Public Works fines tha t said petitioners constitut
a ma jority in 'number of the freeholders residing upon said street to be improved, and that
said petition is sufficient and it is therefore considered and ad judged that said improve-
me-nt be made with Sheet.asphalt using Mexican asphalt the kind of pavement requested in said
petition; and the City Engineer reports that Williston Cnstruc:tion Company is b.he lowest
and best bi der^ for said; improvement, and the. Board. fo finds, a,nd lets the contract for
said improvement, and the Board so finds, , and let the contract for said improvement; to him,
and orders said improvement to be made with Sheet asphalt using Mexican Asphalt and all
proceedings heretofore had in this matter are hereby confirmed and ratified,
Contract awarded to Wm. H. Burke foil. water connections on Jefferson
Street from: Lafayette Street to Taylor Street at...... 1,019.05 and on Caroline Street
from Lincoln Way East to Calvert St. at...............�383.65

Catdipa Avenue from, Bruce St. to Calvert St. at..... J842.21
Contract awarded to J. W, Werntz & Son for painting.of Cemetery Fence

Contract with Reith-Riley Construction Company as onLractor for grade,
curb and walk on Hastings Street from 29th. Street to 1st. alley east, and 34th. Street
to Logan Street as provided by Improvement Resolution rio -.1352 adopted•April 26th.9 1924.
