Board of Public Works' s

Gentlemen:- "
Under -the contract between the City of South Bend, and the Chicago,
-South Bend, & Northern Indiana Railway Company, governing the operation of the Linden
.Avenue bus line, it is within the power of. the Board of.Works 'be allow minor changes in the.
route followed by the bus line.
After careful study of the route which is being at present followed, it
appears to thi's eompany that the public will be bet*er, served by a, slight change. At the
present time the busses operate over La Porte Avenue to WAlnut Street, south on Walnut
to Linden , and weSt on Linden . This Company respectfully petitions your Board for
ermission to change this route so that Musses will operate over La Porte Avenue to
Passnacht Avenue, west on Fassnacht to Birdsell Street, then south on)Birdsell to Linden
Avenue, and west on Linden Avenue. The proposed route will be one which will, in our
opinion, serve the people better, and will make a safer turn :te at Fassnacht and LaPorte
