Mr. Stover , Dr. Helmen and W. 0. Davies_ appeared befDo the Board]
in regard to sewer in'thera'lley'south of Washington Avenue and agreed: to have
sewer put, in. 3
Goo. A. Davis Bldg.,Commissioner appeared before the Board in
regard to communication of May 1924 in regard to raise in Asst. Clerk's salary.
Board approved of following: Recommended that the salary be made $10Q.00 per
moA,6h commencing June 1st., 1924 for an indeterminate period.
Bids wee reoeived;and read as follows:- Pipe sewers on North
Shore Terrace, Angella venue, 0stemo Street, Marquette Avenue and North Shore
Drive under Improvement Res. No. 1397. Highways Impt. Company.( see files for
original bids.)
J. W. Fites, Street Commissioner took up matter df reconstructing
fence along Lincoln Way East, same being in a defective condition. 'Board ordered
bids received. '
Mr. Kidder of the Coj)peart Realty Company appeared before the
Board in regard to petition filed March 4th., 1924 for pavement on 34th. Street
from Mishawaka Avenue to Grand Trunk Western Ry. Company. Action deferred on said -
petition until July 15th., 1924. ;

Petition of property owners on corner of Edgewater Drive ans
Bronson Street submitted. Board ordered an arc light in center of block on
Edgewater Drive between Arch avenue and Bronson St.
Upon reguest of F. D. Fore an extension of 30 days was granted
to close 1st. alley north of Monroe Street between Fellows Street and Lincoln
Way East for a period of Thirty (30) days.
Cantract for grading of Sampson.Street from Bowman Street to
Ewing Avenue awarded to Williamson, Gustafson and Williams at....42,544.05
Final award of contract for the paving of Lafayette Street from
New York Central Ry. Company to a pt. 703 feet south deferred until June 4 th.
1924 at 9 :00 A.M.
