This being date set for deferred hearing on Resolution No. 4 for Grade Separation df New York Central Railroad; no parties interested being present, hearing was condinued until Wednesday, May 21st, 1924, at 9:00 A.M. ' Bids submitted' Tuue sdAy, Ma,y ,6, 1924 at 10A. M. aNd deferred until Wednes- day May $, 1924, at 9:00 A. M: were ppened and read as follows: The Austin Western Road Machinery Company: 1 - 5 Ton Austin Tandem, 2 Cylinder.Gas Roller @ $39950.00 1 5 Ton Austin Tandem, 4 Cylinder Gas Roller @ 39200.00 We will allow $200.00 for the City's old Kelley -Springfield Steam. Roller Buffalo -Springfield Roller Company: - 5 Ton Tandem Motor Roller with both power arid`hand steering gear 127485.00 5 Ton Tandem Steam Rollar 1,985.00 Awarding of anntract for foller postponed indefinitely. City Engineer Anderson also''present, Bearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1334 for Pavement on Taylor Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written resmons.tranee was filed. The "Board being fully adtised in the premises, deci4ed;. that thee ben- efits to property liable to be.assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost df the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and there upon ibakes final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in a1T things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the loth day of May, 1924 and on the 17th'day of May, 1924 in the South Bend 'News Times and South Bend Tribune in said 'City, stating that this Board will 'receive bids for the con- s truetion of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 27th day of May, 1924. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all rids. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution .No. 1332 for PiPe Sewer .on Olive Street from Ewing Avenue to Prairie Avenue in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon•sa.hearing no remonstrators appeared and nowritten remonstrance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement -ire equal to the estimated cost of the same., as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the loth day of 16ay, 19240 and on the 17th day of May, 1924 in the South Bend News Times and South Bend Tribune in said ity, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construct- ion of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 271h day of May, 1924. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A remonstrAce ,was presented, react and placed on file, by property owners against pavement on Jackson Street from Sample Street -to .Dunham Street.
