Board met in special session at 9:00 A.M. All memberpresent.
This being the date set for deferred hearing on Resolution No. 4 for
Crade Separation of Yew York Central Railroad, Attorney Yeagley appeared represent-
ing New York Central Railroad Company. Attorney Buezkowski appeared representing
certain property owners in West Side of City. Hearing continued until Wednesday
March 26, 1924 at 9100 A.M. ,
MR. R. R. Smith, 'Manager of the Chicago, South Bend Northern Indiana
Railway Company appeared in regard to paving of Lincoln Way E a:st.

Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present.
On account of large number of property owners present meeting adjourned at 7:40
P.M. to Common, Coanoil 'Pcooms in City Mall, City of South Bend. City Attorney
.Hammond and City Engineer Anderson present.
.Hearing had on Resolution for Paving of Washington Avenue from Michigan
Street to Lincoln slay East, and of Lincoln Way East from south line of Walilrgton
Avenue to the, South line of Sample Street .

-Attorney �Pi ism �. Bertsch and Attorney ThomAs W. Slick appeared for
certain interested parties. Pmong citizens present were the following:
Hilton .Hammond, Elmer Doddridge, Robert Donmo-firer, Fred Keller, Percy.Walsh,
Dr. Kilmer, Mr. Moore and 'fir. Mueller.
Said hearing eas continued for one week, until Wednesday) March 19, 1924,
at :15 P.-M..
Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1292 for Fkvement on City hall
Court from Main Street to second alley wesi 8F Scott Street in the City of South
Bend, Indian.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and r_c written remonstr.,inc:e
was filed. -The Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the bene-
fits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are eoual to the estimat-
ed cost ofthe same, as reported by the City Civil ENgineer, and thereupon takes
final action on said resolution as originally adopted and -bhe same is hereby in
all things ra.-b!P ad, aorfirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 27th day of March,
1924 and on the 3rd day of April, 1924 in the South bend TRIBUNE AND South Bend
News Times in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the con-
struction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.-M. on the 15th day of April, 1924.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and.all rids.
Hearing had on Improvement.Resolution-No. 1291 for pkvement on Fox
Street from Michi7an Street to Fellows Street, in the City of South Band., Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance
was filed. Ehe Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the bene--
fits to property liable to assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimat-
ed cost of the same, a.s reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes
final action on said resolution as modified to include retaining wall along
Bowman Creed, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 27th day of March,
1924 and the 3rd day of April, 19249 in the South Bend TRIBUNE AND South Bend
News Times in said City stating that this Board will receive bids for the construct-
ion of said improvement up to 1-0:00 A.-M. on the 15th day of April, 1924. The
Board reserves the right, to reject any and all bids.
