This being the date set for the hearing on Condemnation Resolution No. 83 for the opening of a street from Colfax Avenue from Lincoln Way West d►ad from Marion Street to Navarre Street,"in the City of.South Bend,.Indiana. upon said hearing property owners appeared and objected to plan of opening and written remonstrance filed by H. F. Rostiser for Louisa S. Roatiser owners of Lot No. 56 Burrough's Addition, The BoArd therefore after hearing all parties interested present modified said resolution lty including that portion of Lot 6 Burrough's Addition bounded on the north by Navarre Street and on the east by Lot 5 Burrough's Addition, and declare the above described property with modification in all things, condemned and appropriated for public use and this resolution in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved, as modified. The following oRdinance passed by the Common Council of the Citycf South Feb. 25, 1924, was filed: ORDINANCE NO. 2391 An Ordinance authorizing the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend to condemn centain real estate for the purpose of extending William Street North from Colfax Avenue to Lincoln Way West and for the purpose of openinga new street from Marion Street northwesterly to Navarre Street. Be it ordained by the Common Cuuncil of the Cit7- e-f- Sou- h--Bend-lndisms Sec4.ioa1. That the Board of Public Works of said City be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to condemn a certain tract.of real estate in the City of South Bend, which said tract is shown and indicated by being marked in yel- low upon the attached map and which said tract extends from Marion Street in a northwesterly direction*to the point where Navarre Street intersects Portage Avenue, and be it further ordained that the -said Board of Public Works be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to condemn another tract of'real estate shown and indicated on the attached map by being marked in yellow and extending from LaSalle Avenue on the South to Lincoln Way West on the North and that said Board of Public Works -be further authorized and empowered to condemn a third tracir, of real estate indicated on the attached map by y being marked in yellow and extendinp;from Colfax Avenue on the south to Lasalle Avenue, on the North, except from each of the above described tracts those portions already dedicated to the use of the Public as streets or alleys. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. John J.
