Attorney Gilmer representing the property owners on Plea.sa L Street stated that they were in favor of the sewer but that they objected to the p oposed outlet on Lot 39 4 B. F. Dknn S bdivision, and that it woald cost less to hav the o"let at nth Street and filed a remonstrance with the. Board, as follows: STATE OF INDIANA REMONSTRANCE GAINST TRUNK SEWER ST. We, the undersigned, a majority in nambe of the residents, free@ holders and owners of real estate ab vetting on Pleasant 1treet between seventh and Fourth Streets in the City of South Bend, said Co Ly-and State, do hereby respectfully remonstate against the taking of any wrther action by the Board of Pwblie Works of the City of South Bend, in the matter of the improvement Resolution No. 1283 providing for the est,ablishme t and extension of River Perk Sewer System No.'3, in so'far as the same pertainf to the establishment of trwnk sewer on Pleasant Street from Sixth Street'vest ofLot Three (3) in R. F. Dt%nn's Sl* -Division, for,the following reasons: (1) Becagse of the great, excessive an necessary cost of extend- ing said trunk sewer a distance of over three hu,�n -unnecessary (300) feet west, of said int4rsection of Sixth and Pleasant Streets, the a timATED COST OF WHICH wound be in excess of Nine ThovtsaaJ ($9,000) DollaRs, a d that swch extension on Pleasant Street in a westerly direction wok"ld not be an improvement egwal to the cost thereof.
