Wednesday January 30th., 1924.
Board met in, regular session at 7:15 P.M.
All members present.
Hearings had on assessment rolls anf final estimates for the following
improvements:-
Pipe sewer on Ford Street from Olive Street to Meade Streets under
Improvement Resolution No, 1192. Filets January 9th.9 1924
Pipe sewer on Otsego Street from Pokagon Street to Angell% Avenue, under
Improvement Resolution No: 1125
Pipe sewer on St. Vincent Street from Stanfield Street.to Lawrence
Street, under IMprovement Resolution'No. 1237.
Pipe sewer on Frances Street from Corby Street to HoWard Street, under
Improvement Resolution No. 1076.
.Pipe sewer on Marietta Street from Keasey Street to a point 160 feet
north under improvement Resolution No._1259.
Pipe sewer on Cherry Street from Division Street to New York Central
Railroad Company, under IMprove ment Resolution No. 1202

In the above matters no remonstrahors appeared only an the kaxdx Cherry
Street sewer roll hearing, Atty Greszk appeared sad objected to amount of his assessments,
but no written -remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property
assessed in said rolls filed January 9th.9 4924 is benefitted in the amounts as shown
on said rolls, and the Board further find , that the assessment rolls: filed January 9th.,
..1924 and the final estimates allowed January 9th.9 1924 should be and the same are hereby
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

the following resolution was adopted by the Board.
VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 84. 1924.
Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,
Indiana:- That it is desirable to vacate the following A Part of St. Peter Street as
follows, to -wit: -
Beginning at north line of Division Street and West line of St. Peter
Street, thence north along the west line of St. Peter Street to the alley north of Division
Street; thence east 66 feet to the east line of St. Peter Street; thence south along the
east line of St. Peter Street to the north line of Division Street; thence west 66 feet
to the place of beginning.
. ALSO: -Beginning at the southwest corner of Division Street an St. Peter
Street; thence south along the west line of St. Peter Street 113 feet to the northerly line
of the north side Boulevard; thence easterly along the northerly line of North -Side Boulevard
to the east line of St. Peter Street; thence north along the east line of St. Peter Street
to the Routh line of Division Street; thence west along the south line _of Division Street
66 feet to the place of beginning.
ALSO; The alley lying between St. Louis Boulevard and St. Peter Street,
described as follows: -
Beginning at the northeast corner of lot 4 in Coquillard's Second Addition
thence south 58.37 feet; thence southeasterly to a point in the west line of lot 3 Coqquillard
Second Addition 62.63 feet south of Division Street; thence north to the south line of
Di.vision Street, thence west to beginning.
The following. property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by
such vacation:
Beginning at the intersection of the south line of Jefferson Boulevard
and the west line of alley east of St. Louis Boulevard; thence south along the west line of
said alley east of St. Louis Boulevard to the north line of Division Street; thence west
along the north line of Division Street to the east line of St. Louis Boulevard; thence
south along the east line of St. Louis Bdulvard to the northerly line of North Side Boulevar,
thence easterly along the northerly line of North Side Boulevard to the alley east of
St. Peter Street; thence north along said alley to the south line of Jefferson Boulevard;
thence west along the.south line of Jefferson Boulevard to the place of beginning.
Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 4th. day of February
1924 and on the llth. day of Feb. 1924 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and News Times.
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 27th. day of February
1924 at 7:15 P.M. will hear and receive resonstrances from all persons interested in or

This being the date set for the deferred hearing on Condemnation,
Resolution No. 73 for the Condemnation of land for easement for Trunk sewer,
no one present same deferred until February 13hh., 1924 at 7:15 P.M.
This being the date set for the deferred hearing on Vacation
Resolution" for a vacation of part of Kaley Street. Same continued until
February 13th., 1924 at 7:15 P.-M. ,
Mayor Seebirt, W. J. Huddle and Mr. Thes. English'of the Indiana
Mich. Elea. Co. met with the Board.and'diseussed specifications and bids for
Street, lighting.
Building Commissioner submitted financial report for the year of
1923, same read and placed on file.
