Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South
Bend mews Times and Tribune on the 17th. , day of February and on the 24th. , day of
February, 1928, and that notices be, nailed to., property- owners according to law.
The Board approved' the recommendation of fim. F. .walls to allow
the Indiana and Yicnigan Electric Co., to place poles on Ruskin Street between Emerson
and Esther Streets,, as petitioned for by this company under date of February 7t1a.,I928.
The Board approved the recommendation of Rm. F. OAalls to allow
the Indiana and Y-ichigan Electric Company to build a transformer vault in the terrace
and sidewalk area, inside the curb, at the intersection of 4aylor O treet and 0itY 13all
Court in connection with the Progress Club Building.

Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present.
Minutes of meeting held February I4th., 1928, read and approved.
The Board approved the renewal certificate for the bond of the Mishawaka
Plumbing Shop for excavation signed by the Aetna Casualty and Surety Co., for $I,000/00.
The Board approved the Bond of I,000.00 for the excavation for Harare E.
Mallott signed by the Columbia Casualty Co.
V,r. N. G. Wray, city engineer, submitted the following grades for alleys
which were approved by the Board as follows:
Grade of the alley north of=eashway itreet from St. Joseph street to
Foster Street.
Grade of the alley north of Oak Otreet from ottage. Grove Avenue to Sher -
,man Avenue.
City 1gineer, H. G. 1.7ray, filed plans,. specifications and estimates and
the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions:
Improvement Resolution No.I992 for the pavement of Catalpa Avenue from
!I St. Joseph, South Bend and Southern Railway right-of-way to Indiana Avenue. ( See files
for copy of resolution.)

Improvement. Resolution No.I993 for the pavement of Clyde Street from

north line of Howard Street to north line of St. Vincent. Street. (Seefiles for copy of
resolution.)
In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby order
iI that on the I4th.;n day of larch, 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City
liall at a-I5 P. P ., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to
the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements, will
be equal to the estimated cost of' same as reported by the City Engineer. the Board'

Upon the recommendation of Vim. F. Qi.a.11s the Board approved the
following streett lights:
2500 lumen light at 1ichigan street and Eckman Street to be
located at the northeast corner of the intersection. Cost 435.00 per year. Same
ordered.
2&00 lumen light from over head wmres at the south east corner
of Man and Putt Streets at a cost of $35.00 per year. Same ordered.
Upon the recommendation of jqm. F. °walls, the Board approved j
and granted the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co., permission to construct pole lines
on Randolph Street between lumford Court and Clyde Street and on Clyde Street from
th, alley south of Calvert Street to Randolph Street, as out lined in their petition:,
of 2ebrnary I6th., 1928.
