Yinutes of meetings held February 7th., and February 8th , This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution i I74o.I984 for the Vacation of Washington Avenue from Niles Avenue to the Nast dace. In the above named vacation resolution, . remonstrators appeared j and a. written remonstrance eras filed and the ?Board being fully advised in the premises `decides to consider said remonstrance and therefore declares said vacation resolution No.I984 rescinded: and all former action null and void and the proceedings closed. ; The Board approved the bond of Wil�i.am �urnock for excavation in the amount of . I,000.00 signed by the Columbia Casualty 1'o. i j The Board approved the excavation bond of Samuel Slutsky in the amount' of $I,000.00 signed by the Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. iThe Board approved the following Guarantee bonds: Guarantee bond of John F. Hips kind for the pipe sewer in 2Ist., Street i2n.der Improvement Resolution No.I920. Bon for $564.31, which is 10 of the amount due contractor, signed by the Inland Bonding o. Guarantee bond of John F. Hipskind for the .pipe„sewer improve-' l ment in McKinley Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I9I9. Bond dor 4341.45, which is IO% of the amount due contractor, was signed by Inland Bonding ''o. Guarantee bond of Edward Di Julio for the pipe sewer improvement IIin Garland Street under Improvement Resolution No.I850. Bond for I06.I6, which is 10% . of the amount due contractor, was signed by Inland Bonding Co. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assessment rolls: Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk on Kinyon Street from Portage avenue to Sherman Avenue, where necessary on certain lots in Northwest 3rd. , Addition under Various Street contract Improvement `�esoluti on No.I472. �! Assessment roll for grade and wak St lon Sample reet, South Side from alley east of Carroll Street west for 74 feet under 'Various Streets Contract Resolution No.1472. Assessment roll for grade, curb and walk on south ITain street, li rarest side, from alley south of Garst Street north 66 feet under Various Streets 'jontraei i Improvement Resolution No.I472. ;i Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk on Rena Court South Side, from Cleveland Avenue west under Various Streets Contract Improvement Resolution I�o.I472. II Assessment roll for the grade and walk on 11onroe Street North IL li side from 99.5 feet east of Chapin Street for 99 feet under Various Streets -contract Improvement Resolution No.I472. In all of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared and.no Smitten remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several. lots and parcels of land primarily. assessed for said improvements have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment rolls. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said said assessment rolls and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The �i Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of finance. The Board approved a renewal certificate for excavation bond i in favor of Noah P. alott, of Mishawaka, for I,000.00 signed by the Aetna Casualty and !� surety Co. CitJr gineer, SFr. H. Go:gray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions: i j Improvement Resolution No:I989 for the pavement of the alley I! north of Washington Street from Walnut Street to Studebaker ►street. j Improvement aesoluti.on No.I990 for the pavement of the all ! west of Cottage Grove Avenue from Fruebringer Street to alley north of F4aerbringer St. Improvement Resolution io.I99I for the pavement of High Street! Fromting Avenue to Fairview Avenue. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the I4th.. , day of 2l=:arch, 1928, this Board will meet in their offi'e in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. IT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether 11 I the benefits to the sveral lots and parcels of land liable tobe assessed for said i improvements will be equal: to the estimated cost as reported by the _City Engineer. The 0 0 Tuesday, February 14th., 1928. Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 17th. , day of February and on the 24th. , day of February, 1928, and: that notices be. railed to., property owners according to law. The Board approved' the recommendation of Vim. F. :walls to -allow the Indiana and Michigan Electric . Co,, to place poles on .9uskin. Street between Emerson and Esther Streets, as petitioned for by this company under date of February 7t'a.,I928. The Board approved the recommendation of Im. F. �tualls to allow j the Indiana and irichigan !�_ectric Company to build a transformer vault in the terrace and sidewalk area, inside the curb, at the intersection of taylor-'treet and City Hall Court in connection with the Progress Club Building. i Meeting; adjourned at 12 O'clock. it I it jj Attested: Clof the -Board TUE SDAY . The Board approved the renewal certificate for the bond of the Mishawaka Plumbing Shop for excavation signed by the Aetna Casualty and Surety Co., for i I,000100. The Board approved the Bond of I,000.00 for the excavation for Harpe E. Mellott signed by the Columbia Casualty Co. 1dr. ii. G. Wray, city engineer, submitted the following grades for alleys which were approved by the Board as follows: Grade of the alley north of i'eashway �'treet from St. Joseph street to Foster atreet. _ Grade of the alley north of Oa'-;c atreet from pottage. Grove Avenue to Sher- man Avenue. City hgineer, H. G. .'gray, filed plans,. specifications and estima' e. and the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions: v! Improvement Resolution No.I992 for the pavement of Catalpa Avenue from St. Joseph, South Bend and Southern Railway right-of-way to Indiana Avenue. (See files 'I for copy of resolution.) u Mmprovement Resolution Ho.I994 for the pavement of Indiana Avenue from the east line of Leer Street to the east line of alley east of Clyde Street. (See files for copy of reolution.) Improvement Resolution No.1993 for _ the pavement of Clyde Street from Indiana Avenue to Dubail Jtreet. (See files for copy of resolution.) Improvement Resolution No.I995 for the pavement of Stanfield Street from north line of Howard Street to north line of St. Vincent. Street. (Seefiles for copy 'of resolution.) In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby order that on the I4th.;n day of ':arch, 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Ball at 0-15 F. M, 9 to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels: of land liable to be assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated cast of' same as reported by the City engineer. the Board,` further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the 24th. , day of
