The Board signed the certificate for the Dunnegan Construct- ion Company for Partial estimate No.4 in the amount of $II9,457.12. Meeting adjourned at 12 Ot Clock. This being the date set, continued hearing was hdd on Improvement Resolution No.I963 for the pavement on Queen Street from Portage Avenue to Blaine Avenue. Upon the request of property oirmers, the Board decides to continue hearing on same until November ,30th., 1927. This being the date set, hearing was had on the assess ment roll for the pavement of Ewing avenue from Michigan Street to the west line of Franklin Street under Improvement Resolution No.I899. In the above named assessment roll, noremonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board, being duly advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for -said improvement have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll. T Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment roll, filed November 8th. , 1927, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the procee ings closed. The Board now orders. said assessment roll delivered to the Finance Depa ment. The Board approved a continuation certificate of the Bond of Emil Spromberg in the amount of 3,000.00 signed by the 1.1etropolitan Casualty Co, City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, submitted the tabulation of bids for the construction of a sewer in the alley south of CamBau ''treet from Frances Street to the center line of Lot 5 Turnock and Hartman'§ ub., under Improvement Resolution No.I96I. Rocco Simeri Edward DiJulio John Lugaresi 449.30 455.90 456.45 i A Bids having been received for the construction of a seiner in the alley south of Campau Street under Improvement Resolution No.I96I, the Board this I6th., day of November, I927, hereby awards the contr�_ct for said improve- ment to Rocco Simeri at his low bid of 449.30. City Engineer, 1:r. H. G. Wray, submitted partial estimate No.I for the sewer improvement in McKinley Avenue from Twenty-second Street to Greenlawn. Avenue, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the 'ity and J. F. Hipskind, contractor, under Improvement Resolution No.I9I9. The Board signed a4d approved same in the amount of $I,924.72. City Engineer, r?r. H. G. Wray, filed primary assess- ment rolls as follows: Assessment roll for the pavement of Howard Street from South._Bend Avenue to the west line of Morey's Sub., under Improvement Resolution No. 1889. Assessment roll for the pavement on Main Street from the south curb line of Wayne Street to,the north curb line of Division street under Improvement Resolution No.1867. In all of the above named assessment rolls the Board hereby orders : y that on the 23rd. , day of November, 1927, this Board willmeet in the office. of the Board at 7-I5 P. MO, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for sadd improvements and will decide whether the several lots and parcel,- ! of land primarily as for said improvements have been or will be benefited in the i amounts shown on said assessment rolls or in a great or less sum that that named on said rolls. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published ! on the I8th. , day of November and on the I9th. , day of November, I927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law. Minutes of meetings held November I5th., and I6th., 1927, read and approved. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assessm_ en rolls: Assessment roll for the pavement of Division Street from Parry Street to Eddy Street under Improvement Resolution No.I9I3. Assessment roll for the pavement of Parry Street from Division Street to the fifth alley south of Division Street under Improvement Resolution No.I897. In both of the above named assessment.rolls, remonstrators appeared b no written remonstrance was filed. The Board, being fully advised in the premises, find that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvements, have been benefited in the amounts shown on said assessment rolls. The Board, thereforei tak final action on said assessment rolls and declares same in all things ratified, confirme and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department'of Finanee. The Board signed the contract with the Williston Construction Co., for the pavement of McKinley Avenue from -the east line of Greenlawn Avenue to the west I line of Twenty -Second Street Zander Improvement Resolution No.I923. The amount of the contract being $23,359.95 and the construction bond for 50% of the contract price was 1 signed by Inland Bonding I-0. , and approved by the Board. Upon the recommendation of Vim. F. Qualls, the Board approved the installation of a 400Qlumen light at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Harriett Stre at a cost of $45.00 per year.. Same ordered. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. gray, submitted partial estimate No.I for ' the grade, curb and walk improvement on Brookfield Street from Hamilton Street to Wilson Street, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and J. A. Barnes under Improvement Resolution No.I9I6. Board approved and si _-;ned same in the amount of $8,037.63. The Board approved acontractors bond of 'I,000.00 in'favor of Hay - Weaver Co., signed by American surety Co. The Board approved the following Guarantee Bonds: • Guarantee Bond of Albert Construction Co., for the pavement on Washin ton Avenue from IJ ade Street to Kaley Street under Improvement Resolution No.I892.
