All members present. i Due'to the large number of persons present, the meeting adjourned I to the Council Chambers. This being the date set, hearin& was had.on the assessment roll I for the pavement of Elmer treet from Frederickson street to Lincoln Way lest under Improvement Resolution No.I882. !� In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board being hilly advised in the premise' finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, tapes final' action on said Assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirm-1 ed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. I ! This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the pavement of Lincoln. J. Nees, company, contractors. Board signed and approved some in the amount of 18,217.87. City Engineer, Mr. H. G.'dray, submitted partial estimate No.I for the grade, curb and walk improvement on College Street from Hamilton Street to Bergan Street in accordance with the terms. of the contract between the City and A. E. Anderson, contractor, The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 2,967.35. The Board approved a driveway at the west end of lots 105 and I06 Original plat. City Lrigineer, Mr. H. G. .-dray, filed primary assessment rolls as follows: Assessment roll for the pavement of alley between Walnut Street and Maple ''treet from Division 6treet to Napier Street under Improvement Resolution No.I857. Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Nineteenth Street and Wilson Avenue and lashington Avenue under Improvement Resolution No,I93I. Assessment roll for the pavement of the alleysbit-.Summitt._Pldcet-d fifthResolution No.I88I. In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby order that on the 2nd., day of November, I927, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been.assessed for said mmprovements and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land which have been assessed for said improvements are equal to the amounts shown on said assessment roll or in a greater or less amount.. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 28th. , day of October and on the 29th. , day of October I9271 according to law. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 2nd., day of November, 1927, this Board will meet in their office at 7-I5 P.M. SWray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions: i Improvement Resolution No.I873 for the construction of a sewer in Eckman Street. Street between the west line of lindenbergh Park Addition and Miami Improvement Reso;,ution No.I974 for the construction of a sewer in Ill Robinson Street from Southeast frank Sewer to Vew York Central Railroad. '10 In both©f the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the 30th. , day of November,. I927, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whos I� property is liable to be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the property liable to be ssessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost as reported by the �ity anngineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall -be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune " on the IIth., day of November and on the I8th., day of November, I927, incording to law. j� This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment Ill roll for the widening of Kline 6treet from Ewing Avenue to the St. Joseph River under Condemnation Resolution No.I856. The appraisors on this project, Mr. Edward Pfeiffer, Mr. David Gibson and LIr. Ed. Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. The Board signed the contrafft with E. T. Tranberg for the construct- ion of pavement in the alley between Lots IO and II 116,yrs addition from the south line of Lincoln `day West to the north line of first alley south under Improvement Resolution N0.I869. The amount of the contract for said improvement is 410.65 and the construct ion bond for I00 % of the contract price signed by Employers Liability Assurance Co., was also approved by the Board.
