Minutes of meetings held October Ilth., and October I2th., I927 read and approved. Board signed the contract with Eston Ball fo , the construction of grade, curb and walk on High Street from Dubail Avenue to Bowman treet -Haler Impro- I vement Resolution No.I936. The amount of the contract being 988.10 and the construction i bond for I00% of the contract price was signed by the Employers Liability Assurance Co.,! ' Board signed the contract with George Harrop for the construct- �j ion of Sewer on Wilber Street from Lincoln Way West to Elwood Avenue under ,Improvement Resolution No.I939. The amount of the contract being 9,2I2.15 and the construction " bond for 100% of the contract price was signed by Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland. The Board approved the following Guarantee Bonds: Guarantee Bond of the Williston Construction Lo., for the pavement on Lincoln Way West from north line of LaSalle Avenue to the west line of Cottage Grove Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I8I3, Bond for 10% of the contraft price signed by Inland Bonding Co. Guarantee Bond of the Williston Construction Co., for the pave- ment on McKinley Avenue from Sunnyside to Greenjawn Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I863. Bond for 10% of the contract trice signed by Inland Bonding Co. Guarantee Bond of H. W . Reed & Sons for the pavement on Twycken'- ham Drive,iioodside, Avondale, Ridgedale, Garland, Trelane and Ridge Road in Ridgedale *th. , Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I870. Bond for 10% of the contract price signed by New York Indemnity Go. The Board approved the renewal certificate for Perkins Bpos., contractors bond in the amount of $I,000.00 signed by the Metropolitan Casualty Co. This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the pavement on McKinley Avenue from Sunn�yside Avenue to G*reenlawn Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I863. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises il finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement; have been benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore; takes final action on said assessment roll, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assessment rolls: Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Tveyckenham Drive and Ridgedale Road in xidgedale 4th., Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I840. A sessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Ridgedale Road, Avondale oad and Ridge Road in idgedale 4th., Addition under Improve- ment Resolution No.I868. Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Garland Road and Trelane Road in Ridgedale 4th., Addition under Improvement Resolution 1869. Assessment roll for the pavement on Twyckenham Driver; Woodside Street, Avondale Road, Ridgedale Road, Garland Road, Trelane Road and Ridge Road, all Ij irinRidgedale 4th., Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I870. In all of the above named improvement Assessment rolls, the remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed and the Board being fully advis in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land, primarily assessed fo said improvement, have been benefited in the amounts shoym on said assessment rolls. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment rollsaand declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of Finance. Upon the recommend tion of -iim. F. Qualls, the Board granted the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company permission to install underground duct lines and cables in the reaV of the curb on Twenty-second Street, in the vicinity of the Grand Trunk right of way for the purpose of taking out the feeders from this substation 3 City 4igineer, u r. H. G. Wray, submitted partial estimate No. 3 for the pavement, grade, curb and walk improvement on Sherman Avenue, Bryan street, Rose Street, Roosevelt Street and Beale Street in accordance with the terms of t1ae contract between the City and V1. J. Nees Company, contractors under Improvement Resolution No.179I. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 2I,046.00. • 0 Tuesday, October I8th., 1927. The Board approved the plat of Kelly's Subdivision with hhe following j dedication: DEDICATION. I it The attached plat known as Kelley's Subdivision of Lots I3I, 132, I33 I I37, 138 and 139 Sorin's Second addition to the City of South Bend, is composed of twelve lots numbered from one to twelve inclusive and is bounded by a line running as follows.' Beginning at the intersection of the sout4 line of Howard Street and j the east line of St. Louis Boulevard; thence east three hundred forty-five (345) feet to the west line of St. Peter Street, thence south one hundred ninetyeight(198) feet, thence west three hundred forty four (344) feet to the east line of St. Louis Boulevard thence north to the place of beginning. All alleys not heretofore dedicated to the public, are hereby dedicated I) to the public for public use. I City Engineer, Mr..H. G. Wray filed the .assessment roll for the pavement ::1 of Sunnyside Avenue from d1ayne 6treet North to Wayne Street South under Improvement Resolution No.I89I. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 25th., day of October, 1927, this Board will meet at I0.-00 A. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and p-reels pf land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said roll or in a greater or less sum. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll for the opening of Palmer Boulevard from McKinley Avenue to LaSalle Avenue under Condemnation Resolution No.I9I5.
