Tuesday, October 4th., 1927.
Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present.
Minutes of meetings held September 27th., and September 28th.,
1927, read and approved.
The Board signed the contract and approved the construction
bond of E. T. Tranberg for the construction of grade, curb and walk` on Olive Street
from Bergan Street to Wilson Street under Improvement Resolution No.I935. The amount
of the contract being 2,288.54 and: the construction bond for 100% of the contract price
was signed`by the Employers Liability assurance Co.
The Board signed the contract with.Roe o limeri for the construct-
ion of local sewer in Orange Street from Olive Street to Meade treet under Improvement
Resolution No,I932. The amount of the contract being 1.965.30 and the construction bond
for 100% of the contract price was signed by the Columbia Casualty Co.
The Board signed the contract with John Lugaresi. for the
construction of a local sewer. on Dunham Street from Ka.ley Street to a point IO feet east
of the west line of Lot 964 Summit Place Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I933.
The amount of the contract being 568.60 and the construction bond for I00% of the
contract price was signed by the Employers Liability Assurance Corporation.
The Board approved the following Guarantee Bonds:
The Guarantee Bond of the Rieth Riley Construction Co., for the
C rroll Street pavement from Dayton to Milton Street under Improvement Resolution No.
I�88 signed by Souther Surety Company for 10% of the contract price of said improvement.
The Board approved the renewal certificate for the bond of
George D. Hartman in the amount of 5,000.00.
opened and read: This being the date set, the following bids were received,

! Bids having been received for the pavement of the alley north
of Napoleon Blvd., from Leeper Avenue to the first alley east of Stanfield street under
Improvement Resolution No.I9II, the Board this 4th., day of October, I927, hereby makes
a preliminary order for concrete pavement as the type of pavement with said street shall
be improved and sets the I8tn. , day of 0 tob er I927, as the time when said Board shall
either pass on petition for a change of the type of pavement other than that specified
in the preliminary order, award the contract or reject all bids.
This being the date set, bids were received opened and read fo:

pavement improvement on LaSalle Avenue from Main street to a point 17 feet west of ;I
the east line of Lot 4 in Miller's sub., under Improvement. Resolution No.I8I2 l
In the above named assessment roil, the Board hereby orders that on the
I2th., day of October, I927,"this Board will meet :in their office at 7-"I5 P. M., to
hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for sai
improvement and "hill decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have been or j
will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll or in a,greater or less
amount. Board further orders that notices of said hearing of assessment roll shall be
published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune 6n the 7th., day of October and on
the 8th., day of October, 1927, according to "law.

curb and walk on Brookfield &'treet from Hamilton'Street to Wilson Street under Improve
ment Resolution No. I9I6. The amount of the contract being 9,456.04 and the construct-
ion bond for I00% of the contract pried signed by The Independence Indemnity'Go., was
also approved.
The Board approved the guarantee bond of Hieth Riley Construction Co., for the
AoItgelt Street pavement under Improvement Resolution No.I843, signed by Southern 6u.rety
City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed the following tabulations of bids:
