Hinkle absent. j The Board approved tyre Guarantee Bond of Twyckenham Land and Investment ' Co., for the sewers_qun Bidgedale and Avondale Road in Ridgedale 4th., addition -under Improvement Resolution No.1848. Bond si��ned..by .the New York Indemnity Co., for 542.64. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Rieth Riley Construction Co., for the pavement on Corby Street from Eddy Street to the east line of Park Place Add., under Improvement Resolution No.I832. Bond signed by Southern Surety Co., for The Board approved the I,000.00 contractors -bond for Eston Ball, signed I by American Employers Insurance Go. !, Upon therecommendation of City Attorney, I S. Romig, the Board a PProv ed the Warranty Deed of.the Colpaert Realty Co., for a part of Division Street in Belleville, third Unit. The Board signed the contract with Rocco Simeri for the construction ofl a sewer on Ewing; Avenue from Leer to Ernsperger Street under Improvement Resolution No.I9I4 in the amount of I4,933.00. Board also approved the construction bond for same signed by the Columbia Casualty Co., of New York. The Board signed the contract with Carl Zimmer for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Nineteenth Street from Jefferson to Washington Avenue; A1se on the south 2 of Washington Avenue from 20th., to Greenlawn; Also on Wilson from un Twentieth Street to Greenlawn under Improvement Resolution. No. 193in SheetmoC4t of 5,162.50. G. dray, submitted the following report. - There are 62 resident property holders located on this proppos1 improvement, 20 of whom have signed the petitions in favor of a concrete pavement, This does not constitute a majority and I would, herefore, recommend that a final order .be made for sheet asphalt. signed H. Wray, submitted a partial. estimate No.I for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Liberty Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Washington Avenue in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and Carl E. Zimmer, contractor, under Improvement resolution No.I900. Board -signed and approved same in the amount of 19374.67. The Board approved the recommendation of W. F. Qualls, for the removal of light No.415 located on the Jefferson Blvd., bridge. Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. Qualls, the Board approved the petition of the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co., to extend their pole and wire line along Twenty-second Street between the Grand Trunk Railway and McKinley Avenue. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed primary assessment roll for the pavement of Carroll street from Dayton Street to Milton Street under Improvement Resolution No.I888. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the I4th., day of October, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. IT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said roll or in a greater or less amount. Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 7th. , day of October and on the 8th. , day of October, I927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. Gity Engineer, M.r. H. G. Mira y, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of a local sewer in the alley south of Campau Street from Frances Street to the center line of Lot 5 Turnock and Hartman's Sub., under Improvement Resolution No.I96I. In the above named improvement resolution, the Board, hereby, orders that on the 26th., day of October, I927, this Board will meet in the office in the City Hail at 7-I5 P. M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 30th., day of aeptember and on the 7th.0 day of October, I927, in the South Bend Nees Times and Tribune. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans,, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of the alley west of Wilber 'Street from Humbolt Street to Elwood Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1960, 0 0 Tuesday, September 27th, 1927 City Engineer, Mr. H. G. gray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of the alley west of Yaple Street from Napier Street to alley north of Jefferson Street Under Improvement Resolution, No.I959. In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on.the 2n.d., day November, I9279 this Board will meet in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and. will decide whether the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements will equal the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the I4th., day of October and on the 2lst.,. day of October, 1927in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. The Board approved the driveway for filling Station owned and operated by T. E. Cass Oil Co., at corner of Walnut and Sample Street.. This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll for -the Condemnation (Easement) for the Northwest Trunk Sewer Under Condemnation Resolution Noo1769. In the above named assessment roll, the Board being fully advised a in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land which are shown j on said assessment roll, have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said primary assessment roll_in all things ratified, confirmed . The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment roll and declares same and approved and the proceed ings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
