Minutes` of meetings held September I3th., and September I4th., I927, read and approved.. The Board signed the contract with Eston Ball for the construction of grade curb and walk on Huey Street from north line of Lot 350 Marquette Heights Addition to Bryan Street under Improvement Resolution No.I907. Board also approved the construe ion bond of same in the amount of 2,425.32 signed bar the New York Indemnity Co. The Board -approved the recommendation of ft. F. qu;alls that the Indiana and Michigan Electric Co., be instructed to replace the present reflector with:, white globe on Lamp No.993 on Tgyior Street at first alley north of pivision Street. Sane ordered. Board approved the excavation bond of 0. S. Randolph in the amount of I,000. signed by the Columbia Casualty Co. The Board also approved the continuing bond of C. E. Reesh of Mishawaka, signed by the Metropolitan Casualty Co., of New York, N. Yam, 4 The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Rocco Simeri for the sewer on it Orange Street under Improvement Resolution No.I796. Bond for 319.75 signed by the Columbia Casualty Co. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. IjUray, , submitted the -following report on the remon- strance against the Otsego Street pavement: "There are 3 resident property own rs on this street, all of whom have signed' this remonstrance. I would therefore recommend that no further action' be taken in this j matter. signed H. G. Wray." i The Board, therefore, rescinds all former action taken on said improvement Resolution and declares same, in all things, null and void and the proceedings closed.. II j The Board approved the driveway plan at 811 Twenty -Eighth Street owned by Carl Berry. I� I This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the construct ion of a local sewer on Orange Street from Olive Street to Meade Street under Improve- meht Resolution No.I932. Board further orders that #otiees of said proposals shall be published on the 23rd., day of August and on the 30th., day of August, I927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. Hipskind at his'bid of 5,626.60. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted -the following Vacation Resolutions: Vacation Resolution No.I953 for the Vacation of the Ist., alley South of Beyer Avenue from East line of Eddy Street to the Grand Trunk Western Railr right of way; the alley between lots 46 and 47 in Replat of Beyers 2nd., Addition f South line of. Beyer Avenue, to North line of alley south of Beyer Avenue; The Alley between lot 50 in Replat of, Beyers 2nd. , Addition and Grand Trunk Western Railroad right of way from south line of the alley south of Beyer Avenue to the North line of North 'Side Boulevard. Vacation Resolution No.I952 for the vacation of the first alley, second and third alleys west of College Street from the North line of Rupel Street to the South line of the Ist., alley North of Rupel Street. ✓ Vacation Resolution No.I95I for the Vacation of a portion of the Tst.i, alley west of Kendall Street from Calvert Street to the Ist., alley north of Calvert Street. , In all of the above named Vacation Resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the I9th.9 day of October, I927, this Board wi11 meet in their office at 7-I5 P. MI., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be affected by said Vacations. Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the _29th. , day of September and on the 6tiij, day of October, 1927. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and esti- mates and the Board adopted the following improvement Resolutions: Improvement Resolution No.I950 for the pavement of Vine Street from 27th. Street to 3Oth., Street. See files for copy of resolution. Improvement Resolution ,No.I949 for the pavement .of 23rd. , Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Kerslake Court. See files for copy of resolution. Improvement resolution No.I948 for the pavement of the alley between lots I29 and I30 in Cushing and Lindsay Addition from Portage Avee to the alley west of Portage Avenue. See files for copy of resolution. In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders that on the I9th., day of October, I927, at 7115 P. M., this Board will meet in their office in the City gall to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be affected by said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the 29th., day of September and on the 6th., day of October, 1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune and that notices be sent to property owners according to law. The Board approved the erection of a brick walk under the side vralk on Colfax Avenue in the Christman Th.eathrrBldg. , to be used by the Electric Co., for a transformer. j City Engineer, Yr. H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll for the pavement on Altgeld Street from west line of High Street to Miami Street under Improvement Resolution No.I843. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 28th., day of September, I927,. this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property .has .been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said roll or in a greater or less amount. Board further orders that noticesll of said hearing shall be published on the 2.3rd. day of September and on the 24th. , day of September, 1927, in the South Bend N ws dimes and Tribune. Claims amounting to 7,785.35 signed .and approved by the Board. The Board of appraisors filed their re ort for the assessed distric in, connection with the widening of McKinley Avenue under Eondemnation Resolution No..
