and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of Miner Street from Notre name
Avenue to Eddy street under Improvement Resolution No.I947. i
In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders _that on
the I9th. , day of October, 1927, this Board will naet in their office in the :Clay Hall
at 7-I5 P. IT., to hear and redeive remonstrances from all persons whose property is
liable to be assesed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots
and parcels of land, liable to/be assessed for said improvement, will be benefited
in accardanco with the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board
further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 30th. day of
September and on the 7th:, day of October 1927 in the South Bend Dews Times .and Tribune
and that notices be mailed according to law, to property owners affected.
�I This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution calling for the !
pavement of Otsego Street 'from Pokagon Street to Angella Avenue under Improvement

said improvement resolution Ivo,I934, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

The Board., therefore, takes final action on said Improvement resolutions, declaring same
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without. modification. I
The Board now orders that on the 27th., day of September, I927, this
Board will receive, open and consider sealed proposals up to I0:00 A. ,I., for the
construction -of the above named improvements. Board further orders that notices of
said proposals zlkll be published in the South Bend !.news Times and Tribune on the
Nth., day of September and on the 23rd. , day of 6eptember, 1927.
City ngineer, I`r. H. G. Wray, submitted a report on the remonstrance
filed against the pavement of Colfax :venue from yialnut to Birdsell Street under
Improvement Resolution i?o.I924. Report .as follows:
There are 7 resident property holders on this street, 4 of whom have'
signed the remonstrance. This number constitutes a majority and I would, therefore,
recommend that no further action be taken on said resolution.

The Board, therefore .takes final action on said Improvement resolution
No.M924, and declares all former action taken on same null and void and rescinded and
the matter closed.
This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assessment
rolls:
Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on Oliver Stre
from awing Avenue to Donald Street under .Improvement Resolution I8I9.
Assessment roll for the g-radem curb and ,.-.alk improvement on Huey Street
from feller Street to Idarquette Blvd. , under Improvement Resolution No.I820.
1# all of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstr<<tors appeared
and no written remonstrances were filed, and the Board being fully advised in the
premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land primarily
assessed for said .improvements are equal to the amaiin'tdet,� opposite same on the
assessment roll. The Board therefore, takes finl action on said assessment rolls,
and declares same in all things -,ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings
closed,' The Board nowlorders said assessment rolls delivered ,o the Department of
Finance.

The Board approved the Guarantee bond of Indiana Construction Co. , for the
server on Gladstone and Sheridan Avenue and alley south of Division Street under Imtrove
ment Resolution Ho.I785. Bond for 866.62 signed by Standard Accident Insurance Co.
The Board approved the Guarantee bond of S. U. Ackerman for the pipe sewer
on Altgeld Street from 14arine 6tr)et to South east Trunk sewer under Improvement Resolu
tion No.I788. Bond for 36I.33 signed by Commercial CtEs-Salty Insurance Co.
The Board approved a claim of John F. Hipskind against Carl :). Traxler
contractor on the Southeast Trunk Sewer. This amount of 98.50 is for damage done by
Traxler to the Fox Str:yet sexier at the time of the construction of the :gou.th r tt runk
Sewer and is to be paid out of the I,000.00 withheld from Traxler.
