Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present.
Minutes of meeting held August I6th., 1927, read and approved.
The Board approved the contractors bond of I,000.00 in favor of H:. G. Christ-
man Co., signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co
The Board approved the continuing contractors bond of 2,000.00 in favor of
Louis Stoll, signed by the Metropolitan Casualty Insurance Co., of New York.
The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of the Albert Construction Co.,
for the pavement on Tecumseh Avenue under Improvement Resolution NoI84I. Bond in the
amount of 810.64 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.
The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of the Albert Construction Co., for
the pavemamt on `akewa Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I842. Bond -in the amount
of II9.87 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.
j This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll
for the Condemnation (Easement) of the Northwest Trunk Sewer under Condemnation Resolu-
tion No.1769. Attorney John Yeagley, attorney for the New York Central Railroad
requested that the hearing be continued whereupon the Board hereby decides to continue
hearing on said assessment roll until September 6th., 1927, at I0:00 A. M.
The Board signed the contract with the Albert Construction Co., for the !
construction of Sheet asphalt pavement on Kenwood Avenue from Olive to Bendix Drive
i under Improvement Resolution No.I898. Board also approved the construction bond for
same in the amount of $8,656.10 signed by the Inland Bonding Co., which amount is 50%
of the contract price of said improvement.
The Board signed the contract with the Albert Construction Co., for the
i construction of sheet asphalt pavement on Main Street from Wayne Street to Division St.,
j under Improvement Resolution No,1867. Board also approved the construction bond for
same tnc_the amount of 3,348.28 signed by the Inland Bonding Co., which is 50% of the
j contract price of said improvement.
The Board signed the contract with the Williston Construction Co., for the
construction of sheet asphalt pavement on Elmer Street from Frederickson Street to
Lincoln Way Viest under Improvement Resolution No.I882. Board also approved the construe¢
i Lion bond for same in the amount of 4,958.80 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.`, which
is 50% of the contract price of said improvement.
Cit::- Engineer, Mr. H.G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and
the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions:
Improvement resolution No.I933 for the construction of local sewer, on
Dunham Street from Kaley Street to a point IO feet East of the West line of Lot 964
j� Summit Place.
Improvement Resolution No.I934 for the construction of pavement on Otsego
Ij Street from Pokagon Street to Angella Avenue.
Improvement Resolution No.I935 for the construction of grade and walk on
Olive Street from Bergan Street to Wilson Street.
In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders

that on the I4th., day of September, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the
City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receiv remonstrances from all persons whose
property is liable to be assessed for said improvements. The Board further orders
that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and
Tribune on the 26th. , day of August and on the 2nd. , day of September, 1927, and that
notices be mailed to property swnerdiagebrding to law.
No petitions having been filed for a change of type of pavement other than

that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Laing Avenue from Michigan
Street to the West line of Franklin Street under Improvement Resolution No.I899, the
Board this 23rd., day of August I927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement
to the Williston Construction Co., at their low bid of $20,330.60.
No petitions having been filed for the change of type of type of pavement
other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Carroll Street
from Dayton Street to Milton Street under Improvement Resolution No.I888, the Board
this 23rd., day of August, I927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to

the Rieth Riley Construction Co., at their low bid of 2,797.68.
No petitions having been filed for a change of the type of pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Harriett S#reet from
Mishawaka Avenue to Hildreth Street under Improvement Resolution No.I883,--the Board
this 23rd., day of August, 1927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to
Meth Riley Construction Co., at their low bid of 15,336.60.
_ No petitions having been filed for a change of the type of pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Washington Street
from West line of Meade Street to the east line of Kaley Street under Improvement
Resolution No4I892, the Board, this 23rd., day of August, I927, hereby awards the
contract for said improvement to the Albert Construction Co;, at their low bid of

I895, the Board this 23rd., day of August, I927, hereby awards the contract for said
improvement to the Albert Construction Co., at their low bid of 4,309.80.
No petitions having been filed for a change of the type of pavement
other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Klley Street frog
Division Street to Colfax Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I885, the Board this
23rd., day of August, 1927, hereby awards the contract for said said improvement to
the Albert Construction Co., at their low bid of 24,659.80.
This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the
following improvements:
Pavement on 26th., Street from. Jefferson Street to Mishawaka Avenue -and-

The Board approved the Plat of Olive Place Addition with the following dedica-
tion:
"The annexed plat is a plat of Olive Place Addition to the City of South Bend
Indiana, St. Joseph County, Indiana and corpprises the following described tract of land -
to wit:
j The S. E. 4 of the N. E. 4 of the S? W? 4 of Section I5. Township 37 North
r Range 2 East.
The size of the lots and the widths of the streets and alleys are marked in
feet and decimals df feet on the plat.
The streets and alleus are hereby dedicated to the public for Use as public
highways.

the City and E. T. Tranberg under Improvement Resolution No*I869. Board approved
and signed same in the amount of I,54-8.77.
Partial estimate No. I for the sewer improvement on Fairview ttreet
from I'wyckenham Drive to Marine Street,' in accordance wt.th the terms of the contract
between the City and'the Northern Indiana Construction 0o., contractors, under impro-
vement resolution No.290I. Board signed and approved same in the amount of I,7II.32.
:City, Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed the tabulation of bids for
the pavement of the alleys in Fifth Plat of Summit Place addition, except therefrom
the Boarder of alleys under Improvement Resolution No.I88i.
