on the pavement of Parry Street from Division Otreet to the Fifth alley South of
Division Street under Improvement Resolution No. 1897.
In the above named resolution, remonstrators appeared
but no written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the
premises; finds that the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for
said improvement ,will be benefited in accordance with the estimated cost of same as
reported by the City Engineer and that the improvement is necessary. The Board,
therefore, takes final action o3 said improvement resolution and over rules the
remonstrances, and declares said improvement resolution No.I897 in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment
roll for the pavement: of Division Street from the 'west line of OliveStreet to.the
east line of Chicago street under Improvement resolution 1,To.I722.
In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared
but no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board decides to continue hearing on
same until August 3rd., I927.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the assess -
went roll for the condemnation or easement for the Northwest Trun -1 Sevier under
Condemnation Resolution No.I769.
In thu- above named assessment roll, written remonstranceO
were filed by the Lock Joint Tube ompany and by the New York Central Railway
Company and upon the request of John J. Yeakley, attorney for the New York Central
Railway, the Board decides to continue hearing on said assessment roll until Tuesday
August 9th., 1927.
The Board approved the Guarantee bond of Achille C.
Colpaert for the construction of pavement in alleys in Belleville addition under
Improvement resolution Wo.I792. Bon d signed by the I;Tetropolitan Casualty Insurance
Co., in the amount of 849.03.
The Board approved a driveway at the corner of Laporte
Avenue and Cleveland Avenue loc-_:ted at 502 Cleveland Avenue.
This being the date set, hearings viere had on the

Assessment roll for the pipe se,.-!ers in Bovmian Street
between Clyde and Sampson. Streets and in Clyde Street between Donald and Calvert
Streets under Improvement Resolution 1o.I760,
In all of the above named resolutions, no remonstrators
appeared and no ,-mitten remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in
the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels which have been assessed for
said improvements have been benefited in the amounts shovrn on said primary assess-
ment rolls, and therefore,declares said assessment rolls filed June 2.8th., and
July I2th. , I927, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings
closed. The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of
Finance.
City Engineer, L r. G. 'dray, submitted the following
partial estimates:

signed and approved same in the amount of I. 742.9I.
Partial estimate NO.3 for the pipe sewer improvement
in Sherman Avenue from the center line of Kinyon Street to the St. Joseph River,
in accordance with the terms of the eontrabt between the City and John F. Iiipskind
under Improvement resolution No.I77I. Board signed and approved same in the amount
of 7I5.53.

In all of the above named improvement assessment rolls, the
Board, hereby, orders that on the 3rd. , day of August, I927, this Board will meet
at their office in the City Haj-1 at 7-I5 P. It'., to hear and receive remonstrances
from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvements and will
decide wh6ther the benefits to the several lots and-arcelsof land ;.hich have been
assessed to said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of same as reported
by the City hgineer or th the amounts shoYm on said primary assessment rolls or in
a greater or less amount. The Board further orders. t1-a t notice of said hearing
shall be published in the News iTimes and South Bend Tribune on the 29th., day of
July and on the 30 thy., day of July, I927.

In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board
herebyorders that on the 24th. , day of August, I9272 this Board --i

office in the City Hall to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the
benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said
improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of s --,,e as reported by the City ='Ingin-
