Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. ualls, the Board approved the installa-
tion of a light at the intersection of Keller and Brookfield Streets at a cost -of
'45.00 per year.
The Board signed the contrc.,ct with the Northern Indiana Construction Co.,
for the construction of a hewer on Fairview .Avenue from 1.arine Street to Twyckenham,
-Drive under improvement Resolution No.I90I. Board also approved the construction
bond of same in the amount of M,629.00 signed by the New York Indemnity Co.
The Board approved the. following Guarantee bonds:
Guarantee Bond of the Tyyckenham Land and Investment Co., for the construct
ion of grade; curb, walk and pavement on Fairview, Irvington, Eck man and liarine Streets
under Improvement resolution No.I8I8.
Guarantee Bond of the Williston Construction 0o., for the pavement on
Lafayette street from North line of alley north of North Shore Drive to South line
of IYarquette revenue under Improvement Resolution No.I755.
The Board approved a proposed driveway at the corner of "oodward tivenue
land Angella. Avenue. Also a driveway at IO2I E, St. Vincent Street.
The Board approved the plat of Janowski' s Thi.rd 'pub -division with the
j folloiRdng dedication:
"The annexed plat is a plat of Janov;ski's Third Sub -division of the west
I 178.47 ft.. of lot 6 in Kuntsman and Dyers addition to the City of South Bend, Ind.
The plat contains five lots numbered from 17 to 2I inclusive.
The size of the lots and the i,,,idths of the streets and alleys are marked
on the plat in feet and decimals of feet.
The streets and alleys are hereby dedicated to the public for use as public
hi ghways only.

+his being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
,construction of grade,: curb, i-mlk wimprovement on I adjson Street, Cedar Street, Miner
Street and Jacob Street in North Sunnyside I-lanor Addition under Improvement Resolu-
tion No.I797.

in the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written
;remonstrances were:'.filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises finds that
the several lots and parcels of land which have been assessed for samd improvement
have been benefited in the amounts named in said roll. The Board, therefore, takes
final action on said assessment roll, filed July I9th., I927, and declares same in all
'things ratified, confirmed and approved. The Board now orders said assessment roll
delivered to the Department of Finance.
j City engineer, I:_r. H. G. ,'/ray, filed --primary assessment roll for the construct
1�on of grade, curb, walk and pavement on South 6treet from ''unnyside Avenue to Longfellow
4venue under Improvement Resolution-No.I725.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 2nd.
day of august, I927, this Board will meet at I9*00 A. I<l., to hear and receive remon-
strances from all per�.ons whose property has been assessed for zaid. improvement and
will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land are equal
to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further
orders that notice be mailed to property owners affected by said improvement, advising
them of the hearing on said roll.
City .Engineer, bir. H. G. %ray, filed plans, specifications and estimate for
the pavement of the alley north or Napoleon Boulevard from Leeper Avenue to the first
alley east of Stanfield under Improvement Resolution I11o. MI.

In the above named Improvement Resolution No.I9II, the Board
i hereby orders that on the 24th. , day of August, 1927, this Board will meet at 7-I5 P.1 .
i to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be
assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the s-evzoal lots
and parcels of land will to equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City
]�niff_a.neer. The Bnwrd further orders that notices of aid hearing shall ,be published on
the 4th. , day of August and on the 1Ith. day of August, 1927, in the clouth Bend News
Times and Tribunes and that notices be mailed to property Owners according to law.

a resolution fog the vacation of a portion f Angella Avenue under Vacation Resolution
No I904. J Miles for copy of resolution.
In the above named vacation resolution, the Board hereby orders tha
on the 24th., day of Lugust, I927, this Board will meet in their office at 7-I5 P. T,s , t'

i by said vacation. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing hhall be

on the 23rd., day of August, I927, this Board will receive, open and consider sealed

approved same in the amount of 0604.54.

terms of the contract between the City and Alex Buko%rski under Improvement Resolution
No.I822. Board signed and approvdd same in the amount of ."T949.08.
Claims, amounting to 2,997.50 :-.igned and approved by the Board.
In the matter of the Howard street improvement under resolution
No.I889, br ,wl,.ich a remonstrance was filed, City engineer, LLr. H. G. ';ray, filed the
following report:
"There are II resident property oti:n.ers on this street, only four
of whom have legally signed the remonstrance. This does not constitute a majority
therefore, I would recommend that bids be advertised for this improvement at the
earliest date possible. signed H. G. ;gray. Tt
In the Rbove named improvement resolution, the Board, therefore,
orders that on the 23rd., day of 'August, I927, this Board will receive, open and
considered sealed proposals up to I0:00 s.r,% The Board further orders that notices

1927, in the South Bend News limes ana Tribune.
In the matter of the 26th., Street improvement under resolution
No.I866, the Board hereby orders that on the 23rd., day of August, 1927, this Board
will receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the construction of said improve-
ment up to I0:00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said sealed proposals
shall be published on the IIth. , day of August and on the I8th., day of August, 1927
in the South Bend News Times and Tribune.
