Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. 1:=. All members present.
This being the date set, hearing 4gas l .d on hhe widening and. pavement
of 1,11ain `'treet from the mouth curb line, of Wayne street to the North curb line of
Division Street under Improvement Resolution No.I867.
In the above matter, no remonstrators -appeared and no written remon-
strance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds that the
benefits 'to the several lots or parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improve
ment Will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the' City Engineer. Th
Board, therefore, . talces final action on said resolution, confirming, without modifica4i
tion said resolution and declaring same in all thing ratified, confirmed and approved.

Pavement on diner Street from giddy street to Bast line of %ladison Park
Addition under Improvement Resolution No.1865.
Pavement on Frances 6treet from Sorin Street to South Bend Avenue unde
Improvement Resolution No.I864.
In the above named resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no
written=°emonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises,,
finds that the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impro-
vements will be benefited according to the estimated cost of said improvements as
reported by City Engineer. The Board, therefore,decides to take final action on
said resolutions and declares same in all things ratified., donfirmed and approved
without modification.
This being the date set, hearing. was., had on the following improve-
ment resoluttlon
Pavement on Twenty-aixth Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Mishawaka
Avenue under Improvement Resolution T1o.I866.
In the above matter, remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance
was filed but the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits
to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement
will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer and that
the improvement is necessary. The Board therefore decides to over rules said remon-
strances and declares said -resolution in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
This teing the date set, hearing was had on the grade;: curb and vralk j
improvement on Olive treet from Bergan Street to Wilson Street under Improvement
Resolution NO.I872.
In the above matter, property owners appeared requesting the Board
to do all in their power to give them this long sought improvement. A written
remonstrance was also filed and after hearing all persons interested in said improve -
went, the Board decides to over rule said remonstrance and being fully advised in
the premises, finds that the benefits to the lots and several parcels of sands
liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of
same as reported by the City Engineer, and declares said improvement resolution
in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

City Migineer, l�r. H. G. `:'.ray, filed a written report on the remon-
strance filed against the improvement on Fort"A O'Brien Street from Lincoln "ay Hest •
to Vassar Avenue.
"There are IO resident property owners on this street, 9 of whom have''
signed. the remonstrance. This nur;ber constitutes a majority, therefore, no further
action can be taken in the matter. "
The Board therefore rescinds all action taken on said Improvement
Resolution and declares same in all things void and the proceedings closed.
This being the date set, hearing s were had on the following assess-
ment rolls:
Assessment roll for the consruction of a sewer on 6t. Joseph Street
from Broadway to a point 27 feet north of South line of Lot 5I in Raney's Addition
under Improvement Resolution No.I852.
Assessment roll for the construction of ?rade, curb and walk on
Hamilton Street from Portage -"venue to Olive Street under Improvement Resolution
No.I574.
In the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared and
no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board finds th at the several lots
and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvements have been benefited
in the amounts shown on said primary assessment rolls and therefore declares said
rolls, filed June 2Ist., 1927, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and
the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to
the Department of Finance.

Assessment roll for the pavement of Lafayette Street from Angella avenue to
South line of Parkovash under Improvement Resolution Ho.I699.
Assessment roll for the pavement of A:ngella Avenue from Leeper Avenue to
a point 5.-6 ft west of the east right of way of 6outhern 101ichigan Railroad under impro
vement resolution No I700.
In botch of the above naxied assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders that on
the 5th., day of July, 1927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall, will meet
at 1000 A. Tf., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons ;chose property
has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to the
sveral lots and parcels of land are or will be equal to the cost of the improvements
as shovm on said rolls. Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be
published in the South Bend ITews 'limes and Tribune or, the I st . , day of July and on
2nd., day of July, I927, .
City Engineer, 1"r. H. G. :'fray, filed primary assessment roll for the Condemna-
tion (.Easement) for the North-west trunk Sewer under Condemnation Resolution No.I769.
In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 27th.1
day of July, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the City HaSl at 7`-I5 P.11, 9
to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons vihose property has been or will
be affected by said condemnation. Board further orders that notices of said assess-
ments or damages shall be served according to law..
Cit- Engineer, fir. H. G. 71ray, submitted the following partial estimates:
Partial estimate No.I for the pipe sewer improvement in Lincoln `d1sy tilest from
LaSalle Avenue to Trunk Sevier in Taylor Street in accordance with the terms of the
dontract between the City and the Northern Indiana Construction Co, under Improvement
resolution No.I705. Board signed and approved same in the amount of 4,269.12.
Partial estimate No.I for the Pavement Improvement on the Ist. , alley East of
jl+talnut Street from Division Street to Napier Street under Improvemelftt Resolution No.
I857� according to the terms of the contract between the City and Alex Bukowski.
The Board signed and approved same in the amount of pI,II8.I8.
Partial Estimate No.I for the pavement improvement on Catalpa Avenue from
Calvert Street to Dving Avenue in accordance with the terms of the contract between the
City and Rieth Riley Con.st. Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I69I. Board signed
and approved same in the amount of II,601.45.
Partial estimate No.3 for the server improvement on Bryan, Beale, Roosevelt
and Rose Street in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and John
F. Hipskind, contractor under Improvement Resolution No.I782. Board signed and approved
same in the amount of 43,65I.30.
City Engineer, 1r. H. G. Wray, filed the following plans, specifications and
estimates and the Board adopted resolutions for improvements as follows:
j Pavement on eying Avenue from Michigan 6treet to Test line of Franklin Street
'under Improvement Resolution 1jo.I899.
• ;i Pavement on Kenwood Avenue from Olive Street to Bendix Drive under Improvement
!Resolution No.I898.
Grade, curb and walk improvement on Liberty Street from Vlashington Avenue to
1 Jefferson Blvd., under Improvement Resolution 1,?o.I900.
In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that
on the 20th. , day of July, I927, this Board will meet at their office in the City Hall
at 7-I5 P. M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is
liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to
the property will be equal to the estimL,ted cost of _same as reported by the City
Engineer. Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on
the Ist. , day of July and on the 8th. , day of July, I927, in the South Bend News limes
and Tribune and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law.
The Board signed the contract with the a'iil.iston Const., Co., for the pavem nt
of Lincoln Way klest from the west line of Wilber treet to the West l-ine of Olive 'treet
with sheet asphalt heavy traffic, under Improverent resolution' No.I8P. Board also
approved the construction bond of same signed by the Inland Bonding o., for. 50% of
the contract price or �38,628.30.
