Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. 110 John J. Olejniezakl
absent.
This being the date. set., hearings were had on the following
improvement resolutions;
j
Grade, curb and waLk improvement on Eckman Street from the
East line of Studebaker glace Addition to the East, line of High Street, also from a
point I80 feet west of 'the west line of Dale Avenue to Miami ►street under_Improvement j
resilution No.I858.
Pavement improvement on Turnock Street from South Bend Avenue;
to Corby Street under Improvement Resolution No,I862.
Pavement Improvement on O'Brien Street. from Lincoln Way VVest
to Vassar Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I860.
Pavement Improvement on Sancome Avenue from LaPorte Avenue to!',
Lincoln Play Nest under Improvement resolution No,186I.
In all of the above named improvements, remonstrators appeared
and written remonstrances were filed on lurnock Street, and after hearing all persons'!
interested in said improvements and being fully advised in the premises, the Board
finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed
for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated cost of,same as reported by the;
City Engineer. The Board therefore decides to over rule the remonstrances and confirms
without modification all of the above named improvement resolutions.
r This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resoluti
No.I853 for the Vacation of alleys in Summit Place fourth and fifth Additions under
Vacation Resolution No.I853.
In the above named resolution, no remonstrators appeared and
no written remonstrances was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises
takes final action on said vacation resolution and declares same in all things
ratified, confirmed and approved.
The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all
oi-iners and holders of property and of valuable inte pests therein sough to be taken
or to be injuriously affected by said proceedings, which list or roll shall also
describe the property beneficially affected.

Phis being the date set, hearing was had on the Vacation of
the alley South of Division Street from the east line of Kenmore Street to the west I
line of the Ist., alley east of Kenmore Street under Vacation Resolution No.I854.

In the above named resolution, the Indiana 8 Michigan Electri;' .
Company remonstrated against the closing of this alley for the reason that said
Company have been taking their pole and wire lines off of Division street and will
need the alley for this purpose. After hearing all ,-ersons interested in said
said Vacation
Vacation Resolution, the Board tapes final action on same, rescinding
Resolution ±to.I854 and declaring all former action taken on same null and void and
the proceedings closed.
this being the date set, hearing _was had on Condemnation j
Resolution No.I844 for the opening of Bulla Street from Portage Avenue to 1-edora St.,
Resolution;
and.also between alley west of Y=edora Street and Adams under Condemnation
No.I844.
In the above mAtt er, no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the premises, takes
final on said Condemnation Resolution No.I844, confirming without modifieatiol
action
and declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all !I
owners or holders of property,sand of valuable interes is therein sought to be taken
or to be injuriously affected, which list shall also describe the property beneficially
affected.

roll for the pipe sewer improvement on Calvert Street from dine Street to Sampson
Street under Improvement Resolution No.1775.

In the above mat 'Uer , the Board hereby orders that on the
20th., day. of July, I-,27, this Board will meet at the office in the City at 7-15 I
P. 1,!., and will decide whether the benefit s to the several lots and parcels of
land which have been assessed for said improvement are equal to the amount set
opposite said lots on said primary assessment roll. Board further orders that
notice of said hearing shall be published in the News Times and Tribune on the 8th
day of July and on the I5th., day of July, 1927, according to law.

In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders
that on the 20th., day of July, 1927, this Board will meet in their office ,fin the
City Hail i!,`:i-15 P. 1%. to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property has been assessed for said vacations. Board further orders that notices
be sent' to all property owners in this matter, according to law.
The Board approved a drive Islay at 427. E. LaSalle Avenue property
owned by George. Estel.

estimate, and the Board: adopted a resolution for the pavement of alleys in Stu=!Ltt
Place Fifth Addition under Improvement Resolutinn Nb.I88I.
In the above named resolution, 55% of all the owners of lots
affected by said improvement signed the petition for this improvement and the Board
hereby orders that on July 2 ,th. , 10,27, the Board will meet in the office in the
City Hall to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is
affected by said improvement and will decide whether. the benefits to the property
libble to be assessed for said improvement will be equal_ to the estimated cost of
same. Board further orders that notice of said hearing shall be published in
the South Bend News Times and 'ribune on the 8th., day of July, 1927, and at no
other time.

The plat contains 66 lots nu.-bered from One to Sixty-
wix inclusive. The size of the lots and the width of the streets are marked on the plat
in feet and fractions thereof.

In the above named resolution the Board hereby orders
that on the 20th. , day of July, I927, this Board will meet at the office in the

orders that on the 20th. , day of July, I927, this Board will meet in the office in
the City Hall at 7-I5 P. r`., tb hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the
benefits to the several lots and parcels of land which :rill be said assedsed for said
improvements will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City
11gineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published
on the Ist., day of July and on the 8th., day of July, I927, in the South Bend News
Times and Tribune, and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law,
