Minutes of meetings held May 3lst., and June Ist., I927, read and ap
ed.
The Board approved the following excavation. bonds:
Excavation Bond for Rocco Simeri in the amount of $I,000.00 signed by
the Columbia Casualty Co.
cavation bond of a. V. Krillenberger in the amount of I,000.00 si
by the lvetropolitan Casualty Insurance Co.
The Board signed the contract with Rocco Simeri for the constuction of
a se,ier on Orange Street from College Street to a point 40 feet West of the East line
of Lot 24 College Grove Addition; ALSO from Brookfield Street to a point 169.5 feet
west of the center line of Brookfield; ALSO from Grant Street to the alley west of
O'Brien Street under Improvement Resolution No.I976. The Board also approved the
vonstruction bond of same in the amount of$3,235.70, which is I00 of the contract
j price signed by the Columbia Casualty Co., of New York.
•.The Board signed the contract with Rocco Simeri for the cons ruction
of a sewer on St Joseph Street from Broadway to a point 27 feet North of the South line
of Lot 51 in Haney's Add., under Improvement Resolution No.I852. The Board also approve
j the construction bond of same in the amount of $699.I0, which is I00% of the amount of
. the contract price, signed by the Columbia Casualty Co., of New York.
. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. 'ffrayy, filed plans, specifications and estimate
and the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of pavement on McKinley Avenue
from the East line of Sunnyside Avenue to the East line of Greenlawn Avenue under Impro-
vement Resolution No.I863. In the above matter, property owners waived all objections
on and in defense to any defect in said proceedings and to any violation in procedure
for the construction of street improvements as fixed by law. Whereupon the Board,
opened, received and read sealed proposals for the constrution of said improvement. Bid

In the matter of Improvement Resolution No.I835 for the construction of
a sewer along McKinley Avenue fromdest line of lot 58 Jefferson Park Addition to Green -
lawn Avenue, property owners waived all right of objection to proceed -are and to any viol
-# t6n in procedure for the construction of improvements as provided by law. `;thereupon
the Board proceeded 'to receive, open, and consider sealed proposals for the constructio
ij of said sewer along McKinley Avenue.under Improvement Resolution No.I835. Bids as

Bids having been received for the construction of sewer on ��icKinley Aren
under Improvement Resolution No.I835, the Board this 7th., day of June, I927, hereby
awards the contract for said improvement to Edward DiJulio at his low bid of
City Engineer, Y-r. H. G. ;`Dray, filed plans, specifications and estimates
and the Board adopted resolutions for the following improvements:
Pavement on Frances Street from Sorin Street to South Bend Avenue under
Improvement Resolution No.I864.
Pavement on Yiner Street from Eddy Street to East line*Of Madison Park
Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I865.
Pavement on Twenty-sixth Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Mishawaka Avenu
under Improvement. Resolution No.I866.

In all of the above named resolutions, the Board hereby orders
that on the 29th., day of June, 1927, this Board will meet at their office in the City
Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits
to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will
-be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board
further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the IOth., day of June
and on the I7th. , day of June, 1927, in the South Bend News 'Times and Tribune and that
notices be sent to property owners according to law.

Bids having been received for hhe construction of pavement on
Hoose Court from Chapin Street to Scott Street, under Improvement Resolution No.I8II
the Board this 7th., day of June, I927, hereby makes a final order for concrete as
the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the contract
for said improvement to Alex'Bu_kowski at his low bid of $2,233.02. -

No petitions having been filed for a change of the type of pave-
ment other than that specified in the prelimim.ry order, the Board this 7th., day of
June, I92'7, hereby makes a final order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with
which Yokd Ptreet ::_shall be improved from Olive Street to Kaley Street under Improvement;
Resolution No.1707, and awards the contract for said improvement to the AlbertConstruct-
ion Co., at their low bid of 11,796.52.
No petitions having been filed for a change of the type of pave-
ment other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Colfax Avenue
from Eddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I7I5, the Board this
7th., day of June, 1927, hereby makes a final order for sheet asphalt as the pavement
with which said street shall be improved and awards the contract for said improvement

as follows: Beginning at the south-west corner of the north-east quarter of the south8
east quarter of said section, thence north 690 feet, thence east II56.8 feet to center
of South Bend Avenue, thence S 40 degrees W with said Avenue 8I7 feet, thence west
594.7 feet, thence South 66 feet, thence west 25 to place of beginning. The lots are
numbered from I to 45 inclusive and the dimensions are marked in feet_on the above
plat. The Street and alleys are hereby dedicated to the public for public use.
