This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolu- tion No..I82I for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Kaley Street from ,Ellwood 11-7enue to Marquette Blvd. In the above matter, one property owner appeared and remonstrat against said improvement, and the Board, therefore, decides to rescind all former action taken on said improvement resolution No.I82I and declares saiad null and voi and the proceedings closed. This being the date set, hearing was had on the Improvement Resolution No.I846 for the construction of grade, curb and -walk on Johnson Street from Hamilton Street to Wilson Street. i In the above matter, one property owner appeared and remonstrate-,d against said improvement and after hearing all persons interested in said improve- ment, the Board decides to modify said resolution to read as follows: Grade, curb and walk on Johnson Street to Hamilton Street to Pershing Street. With said modification, the Board, being -dully advised in the premises, finds that the benefits to the seareral lots and parcels of land 11&ble to be assessed for said improvement will be -equal'to:s_the estimated cost of said im provement as reported by the City Engineer, and therefore, decides to sustain all former action taken on said improvement resolution No.I846 and declares -same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved as modified. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement resolutions:. Improvement Resolution No.I842 for the pavement on Wakewa Avenu from Michigan Street to the west property line of Tecumseh Avenue, projected South Improvement resolution No.I843 for the pavement on Altgeld Ave. from the west line bf High Street to Miami Street. Improvement esolution No.I845 for the widening, pavement and boulevard lighting system on Chapin Street from the south curb line of lashington Avenue to the south line of Monroe Street running west from Chapin Street. Improvement resolution No.I847 for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Main Street from Woodside Street to Dean Avenue. In all of the above named resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, findts that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer and that the improvements�.are,necessary. The Board therefore decides to sustain all former action taken on said improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved with- out modification. This being the date set, hearing was had on improvement resolu- tion No.I84I for the pavement of Tecumseh Street from north curb line of Wakewa Avenue to the South curb line of Parkovash Avenue. In the above named resolution a written remonstrance was filed and the Boar d being fully tdvised in the premises finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer and that the improvement is necessary and therefore, the Board decides to over rule said remonstrance and declares said resolution- in h11 things ratified, confirmed and approved without Modification. The Board hereby refers the written remonstrance to the City Engineer for final check from property list. The Board signed the contract with the Twyckenham Land and Investment Co., for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Woodside Street from Twyckenham Drive to Ridgeroad under Improvement Resolution No.I855. Board approved the construction bond for same in the amount of $6,85I.90 which is I00% of the contract price and signed by the New York Indemnity Co., of N. Y. The Board signed the contract with the Twyckenham Land and Investment Co., for the construction of a sewer on Avondale Road from Twyckenham Drive to Rldgedale Road also on Ridgedale Road from Twyckenham Drive to Ridge Roacl under Improvement Resolution No.I848. Board approved the construction bond for { same in the amount of 5,486.00 which is IOO o of the contract price and. signed. by the New York Indemnity Co. This being the date set, hearing was hdd on the assessment roll for the construction of curb on the North side of Almond Court from Ist., alley E. of St. Peter Street to the 3rd., alley E of St. Peter Street under Improvement { Resolution No.I708. In the above matter, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board, being.fully advised in the premises, finds'; that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the -.amounts shovm on said assessmdn,t roll and therefore 9 11 • IA 351 WEMN7SDAY JUMM IST. 192% the Board decides to sustain all former action taken on said assessment roll, filed May 24th., 1927, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department.of Finance. Bids having been received fnr the construction of pavement on LaSalle venue under Improvement Resolution No.I8I2, the Board this Ist., day of June 1927, hereby makes a preliminary order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and sets the I4th., day of June, I927, as the time , when said Board will either pass on petitions for a change of the type of pavement other than that specified in the preliminary order, award the contract for said impro- vement or reject all bids. This preliminary order is for sheet asphalt with Metrololit4n brick in car tracks and for street closed to traffic during construction. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification, and the proceedings closed. E. Cass Oil Co. The Board approved the plat of Dixie Gardens Jewell's Second Addition with the following Dedication: i' "The annexed plat represents Dixie Gardens, Jewell's Second Addi- tion, and is located in the North East Quarter of Section No. Thirty-five and the NorthT west quarter of Section No. Thirty-six, all in Township No. Thirty-seven North, Range i Twos .East. The lots in said Plat are numbered from Fourteen to Forty -Two inclusive, and are of the dimensions as shown in feet and fractions thereof on said Plat. for public use.
